    Your safari adventure begins as you depart Windhoek after breakfast and travel north through Namibia’s picturesque countryside toward Etosha National Park, one of Africa’s greatest wildlife sanctuaries. Enjoy scenic landscapes, small towns, and photo stops along the route.

    Arrive at Okaukuejo Camp in the afternoon and check in before heading out for your first thrilling game drive. Experience Etosha’s vast open plains and waterholes teeming with elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelope. In the evening, unwind at the camp’s famous floodlit waterhole — a perfect place to observe nocturnal wildlife under the starlit African sky.

  • Day 2 - Etosha | OKaukuejo

    Wake up to the sounds of the wild and set out for a full day of game drives in Etosha National Park. Explore the park’s diverse habitats, from open grasslands to acacia woodlands and shimmering salt pans, home to an abundance of wildlife. Spot elephants, lions, springboks, zebras, and possibly the elusive leopard.

    Return to camp for lunch and relaxation before heading out again for an afternoon drive to witness animals gathering at various waterholes as the sun sets. End your day back at the lodge, enjoying the serene atmosphere and more wildlife sightings at the illuminated waterhole.

Keep your eyes open for elephants, rhinos, lions, and herds of antelope roaming the plains.

    Arrive at Halali Camp in the afternoon and settle in before embarking on another exciting game drive. As evening approaches, visit the camp’s famous Moringa Waterhole, where leopards and elephants are often spotted under the soft glow of night.

    Begin your morning with an early game drive from Halali, heading east through Etosha’s diverse landscapes toward Namutoni. This stretch of the park is known for its open grasslands, acacia trees, and salt pan edges where elephants, zebras, giraffes, and numerous bird species are commonly seen. Along the way, you’ll stop at several waterholes offering unique chances to observe wildlife behavior up close.

    Arrive at Namutoni Camp by midday and take time to relax or explore the historic German fort that gives the camp its distinct charm. In the afternoon, set out for another thrilling game drive in the eastern section of the park, where you might encounter predators preparing for their evening hunt.

Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) is Namibia's main airport, located 40 kilometres/25 miles east of the capital, Windhoek. Travel to the next destination is by small plane or car. Many people prefer self-drive because of Namibia's excellent roads and safety. In most cases, your local tour operator will arrange airport pickup and all additional transportation as part of the tour.
