    Day 1 – Windhoek to Kamanjab & Okahandja Craft Market

    After your arrival in Namibia, meet your guide at Windhoek Airport or your accommodation and begin your adventure with a warm Namibian welcome. Collect your travel documents, get acquainted with your journey, and prepare for the road ahead.

    Your journey today includes a quick stop at the Okahandja Craft Market, a vibrant hub where skilled woodcarvers from across Namibia display their traditional hand-carved artifacts, from animals to jewelry boxes. Explore the market, learn about Namibia’s rich craft heritage, and pick up unique souvenirs.

    Later, continue your drive to Kamanjab, arriving in the afternoon with time to relax and settle in at Oppi-Koppi Restcamp or similar, offering comfortable rooms, an on-site restaurant, bar, and Wi-Fi.

Hosea Kutako International Airport (WDH) is Namibia's main airport, located 40 kilometres/25 miles east of the capital, Windhoek. Travel to the next destination is by small plane or car. Many people prefer self-drive because of Namibia's excellent roads and safety. In most cases, your local tour operator will arrange airport pickup and all additional transportation as part of the tour.
