- Day 1 - Arrival in Namibia – Windhoek to Swakopmund
Arrive at Windhoek Airport and begin your scenic drive west to Swakopmund, passing Namibia’s highlands and Namib Desert plains with photo stops along the way.
Check in at Bay View Resort Namibia or similar, then explore Swakopmund on a city tour, visiting German colonial architecture, craft markets, and cafés.
In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour quad biking adventure across the golden dunes for an adrenaline-filled introduction to Namibia’s desert landscapes.

Wake up early for an unforgettable day exploring the heart of the Namib Desert. After breakfast at the lodge, your guide will lead you on a full day of sightseeing and adventure.
Begin the morning with a visit to Dune 45, one of the most famous and photogenic dunes in the world. Climb to the top for sweeping views of the desert and enjoy the magical play of light and shadows. Continue to Sossusvlei, the vast salt and clay pan surrounded by towering dunes, where your guide will share insights about the desert ecosystem.
In the afternoon, explore the hauntingly beautiful Deadvlei, with its ancient, sun-bleached trees against the white clay pan and vibrant orange dunes. Then head to Sesriem Canyon, a natural gorge carved by the Tsauchab River, and walk along the rocky formations to learn about the geological history of the area.

Many people prefer self-drive because of Namibia's excellent roads and safety. In most cases, your local tour operator will arrange airport pickup and all additional transportation as part of the tour.
