  • Day 1 - Addis Ababa Fly Arba Minch

    Upon arrival at Bole International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative. After breakfast, take your flight to Arba Minch.

    Once you arrive, transfer to your hotel and continue your journey to Dorze Village, home to the Dorze people—renowned for their towering bamboo houses shaped like elephant trunks and their exceptional weaving traditions. Learn about their staple food, enset (false banana), and immerse yourself in the local culture. Return to Arba Minch, beautifully situated between Lakes Chamo and Abaya.

  • Day 2 - Arba Minch – Konso – Turmi

    Start the day with a scenic boat trip on Lake Chamo, where you may spot Nile crocodiles, hippos, and a wide variety of birdlife.

    Continue to Konso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its remarkable terraced farmlands, intricate stone-wall systems, and traditional wooden grave markers known as Waga. After visiting the village, drive to Turmi, the cultural center of the Hamer people.

  • Day 3 - Explore Karo, Nyangatom & Hamer Tribes

    Drive to Murulle to meet the Karo people, celebrated for their striking body paintings created from natural pigments and their symbolic scarification practices. Continue to visit the Nyangatom community, recognizable by their vibrant beadwork, goat-skin garments, and beautifully decorated accessories. Return to Turmi for lunch, then visit the Hamer tribe, known for their bull-jumping ceremony—a traditional rite of passage for young men. Experience their iconic hairstyles, body adornments, and engaging communal rituals.

  • Day 4 - Turmi – Omorate – Jinka

    After breakfast, travel to Omorate, located 72 km from Turmi, and cross the Omo River by boat to visit the Dassanech tribe, or "People of the Delta," known for their agro-pastoral lifestyle along the riverbanks. Return to Turmi for lunch, then continue to Jinka. Along the way, meet the Ari people, skilled in pottery, blacksmithing, and traditional distillation. Proceed to visit the Mursi tribe, famous for their lip plates and symbolic scarification practices. Make a brief stop to observe the Banna community, known for their traditional stick-fighting ceremonies that demonstrate bravery and physical strength Overnight in Jinka.

  • Day 5 - Jinka – Addis Ababa – Departure

    After an early breakfast, transfer to Jinka Airport for your return flight to Addis Ababa Upon arrival, enjoy a farewell cultural dinner featuring traditional Ethiopian cuisine, music, and dance. Later, transfer to Bole International Airport for your international departure.

Ethiopia, situated in the famous Horn of Africa, is known as both the Land of Origins and the Land of a Thousand Smiles. Most of the visitors arrive at the Bole International Airport (ADD) in Addis Ababa. Usually, the Safari operator picks you up at the airport and takes care of any travel arrangements from there. If you are already in the region it’s possible to get in by land from Sudan, Kenya and Djibouti. It is best to stay away from the borders of South Sudan and Somalia. Drive-around tours are also available (especially in southern Ethiopia). Even when flying around, covering some distances by car can be very rewarding as you'll see some of the Ethiopian countrysides.

  • When arriving from a country in Africa or the Americas where yellow fever is present, a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
