- Day 1 - Arusha- Ngorongoro Crater – Ngorongoro Conservation AreaAfter an early breakfast drive (Approx 4 hours) to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, then descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary brimming with wildlife. Here, sweeping grasslands, shimmering soda lakes, and acacia woodlands create habitats for lions, elephants, hippos, buffalo, flamingos, and the rare black rhino, making it one of the few places where the Big Five can be seen in a single day. Later, immerse yourself in culture with a visit to a traditional Masai Boma, where you’ll experience the vibrant dances, customs, and pastoral lifestyle of the Maasai people. This is the heart of the Great Migration in January–March, where vast herds of wildebeest and zebras gather to calve, attracting predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, making for thrilling predator-prey interactions. - Day 4 - Serengeti National Park – South Ndutu – Kilimanjaro AirportIn January, the Ndutu plains come alive as the Great Migration gathers for the calving season, with thousands of wildebeest and zebras giving birth on the lush short-grass plains. This spectacle attracts predators in high numbers, and you may witness dramatic hunting scenes from lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas taking advantage of the vulnerable newborns. Alongside this, giraffes, elephants, and gazelles roam the savannah, while the alkaline lakes draw flamingos, pelicans, and countless other bird species, making January one of the most thrilling months to experience Ndutu’s wildlife. After an early breakfast and this final game drive, you will be transferred to the Ndutu Airstrip for your flight at 11:30 hrs to Kilimanjaro Airport, arriving at 12:20 hrs — marking the end of your unforgettable safari with us.
