Welcome to Kenya. You shall meet one of our representatives at the airport and be transferred to your hotel. You'll be briefed on the code of conduct and what is expected from your safari itinerary as you prepare to kick off your safari to the Aberdares.

    Main Destination: Nairobi

    Accommodation: Crowne Plaza Nairobi

Meals & Drinks: Lunch & Dinner Included

  • Day 2 - Explore the highlands and wildlife of Aberdares
Kenyan Highlands, Forest Elephants, huge herds of buffalos and uninterrupted views of Mt. Kenya is what await you in the Aberdares. Subtly coined the Scotland of Kenya, this region shares similar climatic conditions to Scotland, with snow being the only exception. Game drives are rewarding and as an introductory destination to Kenya Safari, you'll get a glimpse of the history of Kenya's Safari. A typical game drive will give you an opportunity to spot the Forest Elephants, Bongo, Buffaloes and hyenas. The park is also home to a wide variety of bird life including Bulbul, Shrikes, and Sparrows among others. Breakfast is included, with lunch always served at the lodge. Later in the evening, you'll be transferred back to the lodge for dinner and accommodation.

    Main Destination: Aberdare National Park

    Accommodation: Aberdare Country Club

Meals & Drinks: All Meals Included

  • Day 3 - Explore Flamingoes and Hot Springs of Lake Bogoria
Lake Bogoria is a saline-alkaline lake that lies in a volcanic region, a little north of the equator. The lake is covered with endless swarms of bright, pink flamingoes. Dotting this lake and surrounding areas, steamy hot springs enhance the already dreamlike atmosphere. Now add in the sight of numerous bubbling geysers erupting along the banks and from within the lake itself. Explore the lake on foot, glimpsing at the many geysers. The birdlife here is wonderful, so keep an eye on some rare species. Breakfast is included, with lunch always served at the lodge. Later in the evening, you'll be transferred back to the lodge for dinner and accommodation.

Getting There

Tourists can visit these safari locations once in Kenya and can show up via air, land or ocean, however, flights are the most favoured mode of transport. Kenya is a huge nation and while you can go via vehicle on a safari circuit, getting between the various regions is better on a booked flight.
Kenya's main airport is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), located 15km/9mi southeast of Nairobi. Kenya's second international Airport is Moi International Airport (MBA), located 9km/6mi west of Mombasa, but aside from flights to Zanzibar, this is primarily used for domestic and charter flights.
From Nairobi or Mombasa, one can fly or drive between reserves, or opt to do a bit of both. Most domestic flights out of Nairobi depart from Wilson Airport (WIL), 6km/4mi south of Nairobi.

  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (Link), but they can also be obtained through your local Kenyan Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
