The 3 Day Murchison falls National Park tour, takes you to the largest park, situated in northwestern Uganda on an area of 3,840 sq Km. The Park is classified with savannah grassland and the Victoria Nile that separates the park into two, the northern and southern banks. The park has an array of birds and animals inclusive of the big cuts, rhinos, elephants, buffalos and so on. You will have a chance to enjoy both our game drives, boat cruise and a visit to the top of he falls.

  • Day 1 - Transfer to Murchison falls National park.
    After an early breakfast, you will meet with the guide from great adventures to start your drive to Murchison falls National Park. You will have a stop en-route at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track the Rhinos and thereafter have lunch. You will connect t Murchison falls National Park with a thrilling drive to the top of falls and a mini game drive as you to the lodge for check-in and overnight.

  • Day 2 - Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise.
    After an early breakfast, you guide will be waiting for you to start your morning game drive to look for the early grazers and whilst on your drive, you may have opportunity to see many animals such as buffalos, Elephants, warthogs and many more, depending on your lunch of the day, you may spot the big cuts like lions and leopards but this is not a guarantee as we cannot make any appointments with nature. After lunch, take a short rest at the lodge as you prepare for the late afternoon bat cruise to the bottom of the Nile. You will meet your guide again, who will transfer you to the peer for your late afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the Nile where the Victoria Nile surges through a narrow gap over a massive drop and you may see various animals along the banks of the river.

  • Day 3 - Transfer back to Entebbe/Kampala.
    After breakfast, bid fare well to your lodge and check-out. You will have a morning game drive to look for the would be missed out animals, and then drive back to Kampala/Entebbe for your onward flight back home to end your 3 Day safaris.

Getting There

From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

  • Passports must have a clean and a full visa page for endorsement.
  • When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
  • Citizens of most countries require a visa. A list of countries that don't need a visa is available.
  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
  • Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
