Bwindi Gorilla trekking, Bwindi National park is the biggest national park inhabiting the mountain Gorillas in all the three countries that inhabit the only left Mountain Gorillas in the world. The park covers an area of 321 sq km it’s one of the oldest National parks in the world. The park is located in the southwest part of Uganda; it’s best famous for mountain Gorillas. There about 800 mountain Gorillas inhabiting the national park, primates, birds, trees, antelopes and many more. Bwindi is derived from a local word which means “darkness”, since the forest is gifted with streams of water, trees.The park also is a home to 18 habituated mountain Gorilla groups, primates such as chimpanzees, baboons, white and black colobus monkeys, mammals, reptiles, butterflies, frogs, birds and many more. Gorilla trekking takes 30 minutes to three quarters of the day which is worthy, this depends on the location of the mountain Gorillas where they last feed and nested, take note these are wild animals they keep on moving.

- Day 1 - Pickup from Kampala and Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable NatiAfter an early cup of coffee. Our guide will pick you up from your hotel/guest house for a short briefing about the entire 3-day trip and the en-route stops you will be making on your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, this early morning drive enables as to reach early as well as curb traffic jam. Drive to the southwest part of Uganda, along the way have a stop at the equator for photography and stretching. Stand between the imaginary lines crossing through the world, visit the souvenir shops one can buy one in memories of the tour. Head to Mbarara town as you drive through grasslands, see long horned cattle’s grazing along the road side. Proceed to Bwindi as you view Banana plantations beautiful sceneries of rolling hills and many more. Arrive at your lodge check in relax and have dinner.

- Day 2 - Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National ParkAfter early morning Breakfast, you will meet your guide again and drive to the park headquarters and meet other travelers for briefing at 7:30am about the dos and don’ts when you meet the Gorillas in the forest. Meet the game ranger and start off the hike which takes 30minutes to three quarters of the day this depends on where the Mountains Gorillas are. As you trek see different tree species, for bird lovers this will be your opportunity to spot a number of birds, have a chance to see the primates such as black and white colobus monkeys, mammals and many more. There muddy steep slopes your advised to use a walking stick, and a minimum level of fitness is required to have your trek a success. Once you meet our close relatives, you be given one hour to be in meters with the Gorillas for photo shots as you listen to informative talk from the wardens and rangers. Have lunch in the jungle there after return to the lodge to celebrate the Gorilla experience you will be awarded with a Gorilla certificate. Return to the lodge relax .in the evening visit the Batwa Community as they expose their culture the Batwa are the first people who lived in Bwindi Forest, be entertained with their amazing dances, poems and many more.

Getting There
From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

- When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
- Citizens of most countries require a visa. A list of countries that don't need a visa is available.
- Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
- Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
- Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
