13 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, you will be in position to encounter several wildlife species ranging from primates such as Gorillas, chimpanzees, golden monkeys, baboons, lots of mammals including big5, lions, elephants, antelopes, buffalos, hippos, zebras, warthogs, forest hogs, and several species of birds including water birds, forest birds, and species endemic to Albertine rift. This 13 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, will start from Entebbe International airport then connect to the most visited and the oldest national park in Uganda, Murchison falls national park with a stopover at Ziiwa Rhino sanctuary for rhino trekking, do the morning game drive, boat cruise and head over to Kibale Forest national park for chimpanzee trekking and nature walks in Bigodi wetland Sanctuary, visit Queen Elizabeth national park a home to tree-climbing lions and also take part in Game drive and boat cruise, then proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable national park for a gorilla trekking adventure, then head over to lake Bunyonyi for canoeing.

  • Day 1 - ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER TO KAMPALA
    Transfer to Kampala: On day 1 of 13 days Uganda primates and wildlife safari, you will be picked from Entebbe international airport and transfer to Kampala city where you will check-in at any lodge for a relaxed lunch and then embark on a Kampala evening city tour. Once you are done with your city tour, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight sleep. Meal plan: Lunch and Dinner

  • Day 2 - TRANSFER TO MURCHISON FALL NATIONAL PARK
    You will wake up in the morning have breakfast in Kampala city, then check out of the lodge to embark on the journey to Murchison falls national park. You will have a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to trek the white Rhinos and then have another stopover for lunch in Masindi town before proceeding to Murchison falls park entering from the top of the falls for a breath taking experience in the park. Once you are done exploring the top of falls, you will drive directly to the lodge for check-in, dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3 - MORNING GAME DRIVE AND EVENING BOAT CRUISE
    On this day you are required to wake up early in the morning for breakfast, then meet with your driver to start an early morning game drive where you will encounter several mammals to top up the big5 game. Other mammals encountered include Uganda Kob, warthogs, and forest hogs, among others. During the early morning game drive, be sure to encounter some nocturnal mammals, and hunters before they return to their hideouts. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch and go for an evening boat cruise where you will sight out several yawning hippos and crocodiles. You will also be in a position to view several species of wildlife along the shores as they drink water and quench their thirst. Return to the shores for a drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 4 - TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK AND DO A NATURE WALK IN BIG
    Today you will arise in the morning, enjoy your breakfast, check out of the lodge and meet with your driver to start the journey to Kibale forest national park a home to 13 primate species. Upon arrival in Kibale, check-in at the lodge for lunch and have an evening Bigodi nature walks. Bigodi wetland nature walks: during the nature walks, be sure to encounter different primate species including monkeys, different plant species, and lots of bird species that call Bigodi wetland their home.

  • Day 5 - CHIMPANZEE TREKKING KIBALE NATIONAL PARK.
    On this day you will wake up in the morning have your breakfast and then pack your lunch box to meet with the driver for a ride to the park headquarters for a briefing before heading out for an adventurous safari of spending an hour with the chimpanzees. During chimpanzee trekking, you will be in a position to encounter other different primates, mammals, birds and many more within the park. After trekking the chimpanzees, return to the lodge, fresh up and have an evening tour to the crater lakes.

  • Day 6 - TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
    Have a relaxed breakfast then check out of the lodge and start the journey to Queen Elizabeth national park where you will arrive late in the afternoon, check-in for lunch and have an evening game drive within mweya peninsula. After the drive, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 7 - MORNING GAME DRIVE AND EVENING BOAT CRUISE
    Today you have another golden opportunity of encountering several wildlife and primate species in Queen Elizabeth national park. Morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth national park will be conducted in Kasenyi plain which has a large concentration of mammals in the park. You will sight out mammals including herbivores, carnivores, hunters and lots of bird species in the park. After the game drive, return to the lodge for lunch, and embark on the boat cruise adventure which starts at 2:00pm allowing you to sail amidst Hippos and crocodiles with lots of mammals along the shores as they graze on fresh vegetation and quench their thirst. After the game drive, return to the lodge for Dinner and overnight.

  • Day 8 - TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK.
    Today morning you will have a relaxed breakfast, then check out of the lodge and meet with your driver with a packed lunch box for a game drive in Ishasha sector for an encounter with the tree-climbing lions as they lazily monitor their prey, the Uganda Kob. After the drive enjoy your packed lunch and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable national park, a home to more than a half of the remaining population of mountain gorillas in the wild. Upon arrival in Bwindi impenetrable national park, you will check in at the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 9 - GORILLA TREKKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK.
    Gorilla trekking: on day 9 of 13 days Uganda primate and wildlife safari, You are supposed to wake up as early as possible, enjoy your breakfast, pack your lunchbox and meet with the driver for a ride to the park headquarters for a briefing before heading out into the jungle for the most fascinating activity on your itinerary. Drive to the park headquarters for a briefing about Dos and Don’ts while in the jungle with the mountain gorillas. Hire the porters and then start the trail to trek mighty mountain gorillas in the wild. After gorilla trekking, you may opt for an evening community walks where you will meet with the local Bakiga and the Batwa of Bwindi impenetrable national park then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 10 - TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI
    On this day will wake up, have a relaxed breakfast, and then check out of the lodge to meet with your drive for a ride to Lake Bunyonyi in kabale district. Where you will arrive in the lunch hours, check in at the lodge for lunch. Lake Bunyonyi is known to be the second deepest lake in Africa. You will spend day 10 of your safari cruising on this fresh water while sighting out different mammals and bird species along the shores of Lake Bunyonyi. You will be in position to explore some of the 28 islands situated on Lake Bunyonyi during the canoeing on the dugout canoes.

  • Day 11 - TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK
    You will wake up on an early breakfast, then check out of the lodge and meet with your driver to start the journey to Lake Mburo national park. You will have an enroute lunch in Mbarara at Igongo cultural lodge and then proceed to the lake Mburo national park where you arrive in the evening, check in at the lodge and have an evening game drive within the park. After the evening game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 12 - MORNING GAME DRIVE AND EVENING BOAT CRUISE IN LAKE MBURO NAT
    You will wake up in the morning take your breakfast and meet with the driver for a morning game drive within the park. During the game drive, you will encounter with different mammals in the park. After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinners and then embark on a boat cruise safari on Lake Mburo sighting out lots of mammals along the shore and different water birds.

  • Day 13 - RETURN TO ENTEBBE FOR DEPARTURE
    You will to get up early in the morning have a relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge and meet with the driver to start the journey to kampala with a stopover in Biharwe at the equator for some beautiful photographs and experience. Then drive direct to Kampala for lunch and then head to the airport for departures.

From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
  • Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
