Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from Kampala or Entebbe. Travel through Uganda’s beautiful countryside, passing rolling hills, traditional villages, and lush farmlands. Along the way, there may be a stop at the Equator for photographs and refreshments.

Upon arrival at Lake Mburo National Park, check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for an evening game drive. The park is known for its rich wildlife and is one of the few places in Uganda where you can see large herds of zebras. Keep an eye out for giraffes, impalas, buffaloes, elands, Topis, warthogs, and numerous bird species as you explore the park's scenic savannah landscapes.

Return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Main Destination: Lake Mburo National Park

    Accommodation: rwakobo lodge

Meals & Drinks: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included

  • Day 2 - Walking Safari & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start the day with an early guided walking safari, one of the most unique wildlife experiences in Uganda. Accompanied by an experienced ranger, walk through the wilderness and observe wildlife from a different perspective. This adventure offers excellent opportunities to get close to zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and birds while learning about animal tracks, plants, and the park’s ecosystem.

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular savannah park. The drive takes you through scenic landscapes, tea plantations, and local communities.

Arrive in the park later in the day and embark on an evening game drive in the famous Kasenyi Plains. This area is renowned for its large populations of Uganda Kobs, which attract predators such as lions. You may also encounter elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, and various antelope species before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Main Destination: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Accommodation: Bush Lodge (QE National Park)

Meals & Drinks: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included

  • Day 3 - Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Rise early for a morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Explore different sections of the park in search of lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and other wildlife. Early mornings also provide excellent opportunities for photography as the animals emerge to feed before the heat of the day.

Return to the lodge for breakfast and some relaxation before heading to the Kazinga Channel in the afternoon.

The Kazinga Channel boat cruise is one of the highlights of any visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This natural waterway connects Lake George and Lake Edward and supports an incredible concentration of wildlife. During the cruise, observe large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles basking along the shores, elephants drinking at the water’s edge, buffaloes cooling off in the shallows, and a remarkable variety of water birds, including kingfishers, pelicans, herons, and African fish eagles.

Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and enjoy lunch before visiting the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary. Accompanied by a local guide, take a leisurely nature walk through this community-managed wetland ecosystem.

Bigodi is a paradise for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. The sanctuary is home to numerous bird species, including the Great Blue Turaco, as well as several primates such as red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, and baboons. Led by experienced guides and trackers, venture deep into the rainforest in search of habituated chimpanzee groups. As you move through the forest, listen for their calls and watch as they swing through the trees, forage for food, interact with one another, and display fascinating social behaviors.

In addition to chimpanzees, Kibale Forest is home to several other primate species, including red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and olive baboons, making the trek a rewarding wildlife experience.

Once the chimpanzees are located, spend an hour observing and photographing them in their natural habitat.
