Your adventure begins after breakfast with a drive from Moshi to Machame Gate, where registration with the national park authorities is completed. After meeting your mountain crew, begin hiking through Kilimanjaro's lush rainforest, home to towering trees, colorful birds, and playful black-and-white colobus monkeys. The trail steadily ascends before reaching Machame Camp for dinner and your first night on the mountain.

Leave the rainforest behind as the landscape transforms into open moorland covered with giant heathers and volcanic rock formations. Enjoy magnificent panoramic views of Mount Meru and the Shira Plateau while gradually gaining altitude. Arrive at Shira Camp where you'll enjoy dinner beneath spectacular African night skies.

Today's trek follows the important acclimatization principle of "climb high, sleep low." Ascend gradually to Lava Tower, where you'll stop for lunch at over 4,600 meters before descending to Barranco Camp. This day significantly improves your body's adaptation to the altitude while offering dramatic volcanic landscapes and breathtaking mountain scenery.

Begin the day by climbing the famous Barranco Wall, one of Kilimanjaro's most exciting yet non-technical sections. After reaching the top, enjoy incredible views across the mountain before continuing through scenic valleys to Karanga Camp. Spend the afternoon resting and preparing for the higher elevations ahead.

Around midnight, begin your summit attempt under a sky filled with stars. Trek slowly to Stella Point before making the final push to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa. Celebrate your incredible achievement as the sun rises above the clouds, creating one of the world's most unforgettable mountain views. After photos and celebration, descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest before continuing to Mweka Camp.
