Upon your arrival, a representative from Kiliclimb Africa Safaris will greet you at the airport and escort you to your accommodation in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to unwind and get ready for the adventure ahead. Arusha is a bustling hub and a vital part of the safari experience in northern Tanzania, serving as a gateway for many travelers. - Day 2 - Day 2 Activity
Your Kiliclimb Africa Safaris guide will meet you at your accommodation after breakfast for your journey to Tarangire National Park. The drive takes approximately two and a half hours on well-maintained roads. Named after the Tarangire River, which flows through it, this park is crucial for wildlife, providing the only water source in the region during the dry season.
Tarangire is renowned for its large herds of elephants, often seen gathering by the river. You’ll also have the chance to spot other wildlife such as giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, all of which attract predators like lions and leopards. The park is a birdwatcher’s paradise, boasting the highest diversity of breeding bird species in the world. Don’t miss the iconic Baobab trees, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. Lunch will be enjoyed at a picnic site within the park. After a thrilling game drive, you’ll continue your journey to your accommodation in Karatu, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s adventures.

- Day 3 - Serengeti National Park
In the morning, you’ll transfer by road from your accommodation to the Ngorongoro Loduare Gate, where you will check in to the conservation area before embarking on an exhilarating game drive through the stunning landscapes that lead you to the central Serengeti National Park. Renowned for its vast grasslands, the Serengeti offers exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities and is particularly famous for the annual Great Migration, where massive herds of wildebeest, accompanied by zebras and antelope, traverse the landscape in search of fresh grazing.
As you explore, you’ll have the chance to encounter a variety of predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, making for a truly unforgettable adventure. In the afternoon, you can choose to continue your exploration of the Serengeti or settle in for an overnight stay within the national park, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the breathtaking scenery and incredible wildlife encounters.

- Day 4 - Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater
After an early morning breakfast in Serengeti National Park, you will embark on a scenic game drive as you transfer to Ngorongoro Crater, a journey that takes approximately two hours. Upon your arrival, the first glimpse of the Crater will transport you to a hidden world, enclosed by towering volcanic walls that cradle a pristine wilderness. This remarkable area features expansive savannahs, acacia woodlands, and shimmering lakes and swamps, all formed by a massive volcanic explosion and collapse two to three million years ago, covering 260 km².
Renowned for its geological wonders, the Crater is also a natural reserve that boasts some of the highest densities of large mammals in Africa. As you descend into this unique ecosystem, you’ll encounter vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, alongside more than 500 bird species. The Crater provides an excellent opportunity to spot the endangered black rhino. After exploring this remarkable landscape, you will continue your journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before heading to your accommodation in Karatu, where you can relax and reflect on the day’s breathtaking wildlife encounters.

After breakfast, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, just 120 km west of Arusha. This compact yet diverse park features the stunning Great Rift Escarpment and a shallow salt lake that attracts thousands of wading birds, including flamingos. Keep an eye out for elephants, baboons, and the famous tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before concluding your game drive. Afterward, you’ll say goodbye to your guide and be dropped off at your chosen location, whether Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport.
