- Day - Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park
After an early breakfast in Arusha, set out for Tarangire National Park, a scenic 2-hour drive through the beautiful Tanzanian countryside. Upon arrival, begin your thrilling game drive across Tarangire’s diverse landscapes, renowned for its iconic baobab trees and massive herds of elephants. The park is also home to zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and a wide array of bird species, offering fantastic wildlife sightings at every turn. Pause midday to enjoy a delicious picnic lunch in a serene spot surrounded by the breathtaking scenery and the sounds of nature. In the afternoon, continue exploring the park, keeping a lookout for predators like lions and leopards, as well as other fascinating animals. Start your final day early with breakfast before descending more than 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a remarkable geological wonder often celebrated as one of the world’s natural marvels. As midday arrives, pause for lunch at the crater floor, surrounded by unparalleled wildlife encounters. Expect to see great bull elephants, the critically important population of black rhinos, and large herds of grazing herbivores such as wildebeest and zebras. Predators like lions and hyenas, alongside a multitude of other species, thrive in this ecosystem. With around 400 bird species recorded here, the crater’s avifauna is equally remarkable.
Following your crater exploration, begin the return trip to Arusha or head directly to the airport, concluding your remarkable safari experience.
