Afterward, you'll return to the lodge for evening drinks and dinner. We think you’ll be impressed with Tarangire National Park. Most visitors love the distinct shapes of the baobab trees silhouetted against the sky making this place feel like a fairy-tale African landscape. Visitors remember the elephants that roam in family bands everywhere throughout the park. If you’re lucky, you’ll also encounter the big cats—lions especially, but also cheetahs and leopards—that are always a possibility here. There’s a fair degree of certainty that you will tick wildebeests, giraffes, hippos, buffalos, and zebras off your wildlife-viewing list. Â

- Day 6 - Game Drive in Ngorongoro CraterYou'll get up early for breakfast to make the most out of your day in the Ngorongoro Crater. Later in the evening, you'll return to your lodge before dusk, and in time to freshen up before dinner. Ngorongoro is a special place. If it is the first time that you descend onto the crater floor is like no other safari experience in Africa. This is a world unto itself. One where you’ll encounter the crater’s 600-strong population of hyenas, as well as critically endangered black rhinos. You’ll also find elephants with larger-than-average tusks, and more than 50 lions living in the crater. But it’s the sheer beauty of Ngorongoro that will most likely live longest in your memory. From early morning, mist rises from the crater, revealing steep, forested walls, secret waterways where hippos wallow, and a world of abundant wildlife hidden away from the rest of the world. Â
Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
Accommodation: Country Lodge Karatu
Meals & Drinks: All Meals Included
- Day 7 - Visit Lake Manyara National Park and Fly back to ZanzibarToday you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a morning game drive. At mid-day, our driver will transfer you to Arusha airport flying to Zanzibar. Once you arrive, you will meet our driver. Lake Manyara National Park will allow you to tick off so many unique safari highlights, including many that you just won’t find elsewhere. Unlike the elephants you’ll see in other parks, Lake Manyara inhabits dense forest—there’s nothing quite like your experience of an elephant suddenly emerging from behind the nearest tree. Also, you’re just as likely to see lions here draped along a branch high in a tree as down on the ground and lots of baboons. The views you’ll see here, too, persist in your memory long after you’ve returned home, thanks to the combination of lake, forest, and sheer cliffs, all within just a few kilometers. Â
