  • Day 1 - Tarangire National Park
We will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00am and take you to an extraordinary national park! Tarangire National Park is famous for its diverse landscape with nine different vegetation zones. The park is particularly known for the abundance of ancient baobab trees (the largest trees on the continent), which fill the landscape and dwarf the animals next to them. The park's river is iconic, and the area is full of wildlife, ranging from a large variety of birds to lions, leopards, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and, of course, elephants. In fact, the park has the largest concentration of elephants in the whole country and provides unique chances to observe the interaction between elephant families. The lunch area is fascinating, boasting an observatory with amazing river and wildlife views (with good chances of seeing a hunt while having your picnic). We will do a game drive in the afternoon before continuing toward your accommodation.

On arrival, you will have a picnic lunch with another group before proceeding with an afternoon/sunset game drive. Later in the evening, you will be dropped off at the campsite for dinner and an overnight stay. Should you want to upgrade your accommodation, we will gladly assist.

  • Day 3 - Serengeti National Park
Start the day with a sunrise viewing, then after breakfast, proceed with a game drive until lunch. You will be amazed by the endless plain filled with acacia trees, birds, mammals, and big cats. The Serengeti is home to the annual Great Migration, when millions of wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes, including impalas and Thomson's gazelles, pass through the area towards the Masai Mara. As for hyenas and big cats, it is the place of choice to look out for lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Many television scenes of the famous river crossings have been filmed here in the park.

A lot of planning and preparation goes into a successful safari – many moving parts are set into motion through the efforts of many skilled people – but the key cog is the safari guide. It is a rare person who can combine the skills of the naturalist, the mechanic, the driver, the anthropologist, the teacher, and the hotel concierge. Yet all of that is precisely what our experienced guides have delivered to thousands of safari travelers over the years. Cheerfully. On average, our guides have 12 years of experience leading safari travelers. Our most experienced guides train our newer guides. All are certified and receive ongoing training and education. All understand what it means to be a member of the Ocelots Safaris family and the exceptional attention with which they must attend to our client’s expectations.
