- Day 1 - Into the North: Arrival & Afternoon Game Drive in Samburu
Depart Nairobi early in the morning and drive north through the scenic Mount Kenya region toward the remote and wild Samburu National Reserve. The landscape transforms dramatically as you leave the highlands behind and enter the arid, rugged terrain of northern Kenya. Arrive at your midrange camp in time for lunch and check-in before heading out on your first afternoon game drive along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River. Samburu is home to the remarkable Special Five — the reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx — found nowhere else in Kenya. Keep watch for lions, leopards, elephants, and crocodiles lurking along the riverbanks as the golden afternoon light filters through the acacia trees. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

- Day 2 - Samburu Special Five: A Full Day in the Wild North
Rise before sunrise for a full day of game drives deep in the heart of Samburu National Reserve. The early morning hours are magical — the Ewaso Nyiro River glows in the soft dawn light, elephants gather along the banks, and predators make their final moves before the heat of the day sets in. Spend the morning tracking the Samburu Special Five alongside lions, leopards, cheetahs, and an extraordinary variety of bird species that thrive in this unique semi-arid ecosystem. Enjoy a bush picnic lunch before heading out on your afternoon game drive, exploring different areas of the reserve and following your guide's expert knowledge to uncover the hidden secrets of this remarkable wilderness. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

- Day 3 - Rhinos & Conservation: Drive to Ol Pejeta & Afternoon Game D
Bid farewell to the wild north and drive south toward the world-renowned Ol Pejeta Conservancy, nestled at the foot of Mount Kenya. Ol Pejeta is East Africa's largest black rhino sanctuary and one of Kenya's most important conservation success stories. Arrive at your midrange lodge for lunch and check-in before heading out on an afternoon game drive across the conservancy's vast open plains. Ol Pejeta is home to the Big Five, including large populations of both black and white rhinos, as well as the last two northern white rhinos on earth — Najin and Fatu — whose story is one of the most powerful wildlife conservation tales of our time. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, home to rescued chimpanzees from across Central Africa, and learn about Ol Pejeta's groundbreaking conservation and community programs protecting Kenya's most endangered species. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the conservancy before continuing your afternoon game drive across the sweeping plains with Mount Kenya as a stunning backdrop.

Marvel at thousands of flamingos painting the water pink, spot endangered white rhinos grazing peacefully on open grasslands, and search for leopards draped lazily over fig tree branches. The park is also home to lions, buffalos, zebras, and over 450 bird species. Enjoy a spectacular sunset over the lake before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Take your time, savour every last moment, and let your guide make the most of this final morning in the wild. Most domestic flights out of Nairobi depart from Wilson Airport (WIL), 6km/4mi south of Nairobi.
