    Upon your arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide who will brief you about your safari before transferring you to your hotel in Kigali.

    Day 2: Transfer to Musanze – Musanze Caves

    After breakfast, depart Kigali and enjoy a scenic drive to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. Upon arrival, proceed to Musanze Caves for a guided exploration of the ancient lava tunnels formed by volcanic activity. After the visit, transfer to your lodge and spend the remainder of the day relaxing in preparation for the following day's gorilla trekking adventure.

    Day 3: Gorilla Trekking – Transfer to Gisenyi

    Following an early breakfast, head to Volcanoes National Park for a briefing before beginning your unforgettable gorilla trekking experience. After spending one hour observing a mountain gorilla family in their natural habitat, enjoy lunch before continuing to Gisenyi, located on the shores of Lake Kivu.

    In the evening, experience Gisenyi's vibrant nightlife.

  • Day 4 - Fazenda Sengha – Nightlife

    Day 4: Fazenda Sengha – Nightlife

    After breakfast, depart Gisenyi and return to Kigali. Upon arrival, Continue to Fazenda Sengha Adventure Park for an exciting afternoon of outdoor activities including zip lining, quad biking, archery, horseback riding, or other adventure experiences.

    As evening falls, enjoy Kigali's lively nightlife at one of the city's popular entertainment venues.

Kigali International Airport (KGL), on the outskirts of Kigali, would most likely be your point of entry point into the country. There are currently no direct flights from any North American city to Kigali. All require at least one stop, with most major cities, including New York, Toronto, Sao Paolo and Montreal only requiring one stop. Direct flights are available from Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also direct flights on Turkish Airlines, from Istanbul, and from Dubai on Rwanda Air. There are no direct flights from Doha and Qatar. Flights from major cities in Asia, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, also require one stop. Flights from Sydney, Australia presently require two stops.

Rwanda is quite tiny, and most people travel inside the country by car. Rwanda's speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour on all roads. Akagera Aviation, on the other hand, provides charter helicopter transfers to and from any place in the country.

  • For people visiting Rwanda in conjunction with Kenya and/or Uganda, it is possible to buy a joint visa for all three countries with advance application. See www.migration.gov.rw for details.
