- Day Day 1: - Kigali to Volcanoes Nat Park
Begin your adventure with breakfast at your hotel in Kigali. Your guide will meet you for a short briefing before visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a powerful tribute to the victims of the 1994 genocide. From there, enjoy a scenic drive through Rwanda’s lush hills and vibrant rural life as you head northwest to Volcanoes National Park. Settle into your lodge and enjoy dinner with views of the Virunga Mountains. Overnight at The Garden Place Hotel or similar.

- Day Day 2: - Golden Monkey Trekking, Gorilla Museum & Transfer to Uganda
After an early breakfast, head to Kinigi Park Headquarters for a briefing before entering the bamboo forests of Volcanoes National Park to track golden monkeys. Spend an hour observing their playful behavior. Afterward, visit the Gorilla Museum to learn about the legacy of Dian Fossey and gorilla conservation efforts in the region. Then proceed to the Gorilla Guardian Village, where you’ll enjoy cultural performances, traditional activities, and local crafts. In the afternoon, cross into Uganda and continue to Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Overnight at Travelers Rest Hotel or similar.

- Day Day 3: - Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Following an early breakfast, head to the ranger station for a detailed gorilla trekking briefing. Accompanied by a park ranger, trek through the forest to locate one of the habituated mountain gorilla families. Spend up to one hour in their presence, observing from a safe distance. After the trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, known for its emerald waters and idyllic views. This is a perfect place to relax and reflect on your experience. Overnight at Lake Bunyonyi Overland Camp or similar.

Enjoy a tranquil breakfast by the lake before starting your return journey to Kigali. Depending on timing, you may have a short stop at a local market or craft shop along the way. Your guide will ensure a timely drop-off at either your hotel or Kigali International Airport for your departure.

From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

- Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
