The journey begins in Kigali before heading to Volcanoes National Park for a guided trek to the summit of Mount Bisoke, where you'll be rewarded with panoramic views and a spectacular volcanic crater lake. Continue to the tranquil shores of Lake Ruhondo for camping and outdoor recreation, including canoeing, kayaking, boat rides, fishing, bird watching, and nature walks. Along the way, keep an eye out for golden monkeys, a variety of colorful bird species, and other wildlife native to the Virunga ecosystem. Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our professional guide from Legacy Heritage Tours & Travel and transferred to Legend Hotel.
After check-in, take some time to relax and recover from your journey before enjoying a welcome dinner and receiving a briefing about your upcoming Mount Bisoke adventure.

- Day 2 - TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK & MOUNT BISOKE HIKE
DAY 2 – TRANSFER TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK & MOUNT BISOKE HIKE
05:30 AM – Early departure from Kigali to Kinigi, home of Volcanoes National Park.
Attend the mandatory briefing conducted by park rangers before beginning the exciting hike to the summit of Mount Bisoke (3,711m). Trek through beautiful forests and volcanic landscapes until reaching the spectacular Crater Lake at the summit, where you will have time for sightseeing and photography.

DAY 3 – LAKE RUHONDO EXPERIENCE & RETURN TO KIGALI
07:00 AM – Breakfast at the resort overlooking the lake.
Spend the morning enjoying exciting recreational activities including canoeing, kayaking, boat rides, fishing experiences, bird watching, and a guided nature walk around the beautiful shores of Lake Ruhondo.
After lunch, depart for Kigali and transfer back to Legend Hotel for relaxation and overnight stay.

Getting There

All require at least one stop, with most major cities, including New York, Toronto, Sao Paolo and Montreal only requiring one stop. Direct flights are available from Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also direct flights on Turkish Airlines, from Istanbul, and from Dubai on Rwanda Air. There are no direct flights from Doha and Qatar. Flights from major cities in Asia, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, also require one stop. Flights from Sydney, Australia presently require two stops.
Rwanda is quite tiny, and most people travel inside the country by car. Rwanda's speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour on all roads. Akagera Aviation, on the other hand, provides charter helicopter transfers to and from any place in the country.
