  • Day 1 - Arusha to lake eyasi
    Your journey begins with a scenic drive to Lake Eyasi, where the Hadzabe tribe resides. Upon arrival at their village you'll be warmly welcomed by the tribe before embarking on a foraging and honey harvesting trip. Honey holds great significance in the Hadzabe culture, not only as a valuable food source but also for its medicinal and spiritual properties. It plays a central role in traditional ceremonies and rituals. You will have the opportunity to learn how they find and remove the honey from natural or local hives. As the day draws to a close, you'll gather around a campfire for dinner and rest.

  • Day 2 - Lake eyasi to arusha
    After an early breakfast you will accompany your hosts on a hunting expedition. This immersive experience allows you to witness their adept skills in tracking and capturing prey using traditional bows and arrows. After hunting you’ll have lunch then bid farewell to your hosts as you depart for Arusha.

  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://eservices.immigration.go.tz/visa/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
