After breakfast, you will check out of the lodge with packed picnic lunch and games drives en route and depart to Masai Mara. You will proceed to the Maasai Mara You will arrive at your lodge in the Mara Reserve in time for check-in and late lunch before departing for an afternoon game drive.  This gives you a chance to spot the big five and other numerous plains games. After the game drive you will be transferred back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Eyasi is known for The Hadzabe Bushmen who live in this region, as do the Datoga and Mbulu tribes. A visit with the Bushmen is worthwhile and they will graciously show you where and how they live and hunt. We pick you up from your hotel and drive to Lake Manyara. The park derived its name from the Maasai word “manyara”, which is the Swahili name for the plant, Euphorbia tirucalli. The Maasai use this plant to grow livestock stockades, which matures into a highly durable stock-proof hedge. The Great Rift Valley is part of a fault in the earth’s crust which stretches 8,000 kilometres (4,971 miles) from Turkey to the mouth of the Zambezi River in Mozambique. The fault is so massive that when astronauts landed on the moon, the Rift Valley was clearly visible to them, later evening back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
