Day 11 Day Golden monkey trekking
4:30 AM: Wake up early and enjoy a quick breakfast at your hotel in Kigali. 5:00 AM: The drive to Volcanoes National Park takes 2.5 hours. 7:00 AM - 7:30 AM: Register at the park headquarters and attend a briefing by park rangers. Learn about the golden monkeys, their behavior, the trekking guidelines, and safety precautions. You'll also be assigned to a trekking group and a guide. 7:30 AM: Begin your golden monkey trek! The trek can take 2-3 hours depending on the location of the monkeys. Spend a magical hour observing these playful primates in their natural habitat. Take photos (without flash) and enjoy their acrobatic displays and social interactions. 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Enjoy a delicious packed lunch at a nearby restaurant at your own expense. Choose an optional activity at an extra cost. Visit the Iby'iwacu Cultural Village: Immerse yourself in Rwandan culture, learn about traditional customs, and enjoy music and dance performances. 5:00 PM: Arrive back in Kigali.

Getting There
Kigali International Airport (KGL), on the outskirts of Kigali, would most likely be your point of entry point into the country. There are currently no direct flights from any North American city to Kigali. All require at least one stop, with most major cities, including New York, Toronto, Sao Paolo and Montreal only requiring one stop. Direct flights are available from Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also direct flights on Turkish Airlines, from Istanbul, and from Dubai on Rwanda Air. There are no direct flights from Doha and Qatar. Flights from major cities in Asia, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, also require one stop. Flights from Sydney, Australia presently require two stops.
Rwanda is quite tiny, and most people travel inside the country by car. Rwanda's speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour on all roads. Akagera Aviation, on the other hand, provides charter helicopter transfers to and from any place in the country.
