  • Day 1 - Arrival at the Kigali International airport.
    On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be meet with a warm welcome by our company representative. Exchange some money in local currency then drive to the hotel for an overnight stay. Your professional guide driver will be at the airport ahead of time waiting for you. Transfer to the Kigali hotel.   • Day 2 - Transfer to Nyungwe National Park
    After your breakfast, your guide Driver meet you proceed your trip to Nyungwe National Park, the home of chimpanzees and Colobus Monkey you will have a stopover in south at the Nyanya King Palace Museum visit Inyambo Cows. The journey south west passes through the beautiful terraced hillsides that characterize much of Rwanda’s landscape. In the afternoon, enjoy a canopy walk adventure in Nyungwe National Park. Visit and enjoy the property amenities. Drive to the hotel and relax whole evening with an optional walk with our guide Meal Plan: Bed and Breakfast

  • Day 3 - Forest National Park, Chimpanzee Trekking, Tea Plantation –
    On this day, you will enjoy an early breakfast at your lodge before embarking on a thrilling hike in search of chimpanzee communities. The Rwandan chimpanzee population is thought to consist of approximately 400-500 individuals, confined to the Nyungwe National Park, including a small community in the Cyamudongo Forest. Prepare to hear these excitable primates before you see them, as their pant-hoots travel through the deep forest. During your hike, you may also spot migratory birdlife including the Ross’ turaco, grey-cheeked hornbill, red-breasted sparrow, hawk and regal sunbird. Later proceed with tea plantation experiences around the park. After these experiences, check out and transfer to the shore of Lake Kivu.

  • Day 4 - Boating, Coffee Experiences Crop to Cup - Volcanoes National
    After breakfast, you will start your morning boat cruise exploring different islands located on the lake Kibuye side. On this day, you will drive to Volcanoes National Park. On your way have a stopover and enjoy the Rwanda coffee experiences at Kopakiki Cooperative. On arrival, spend your time at relaxed enjoying property amenities at the lodge, evening at leisure.   • Day 5 - Volcanoes National Park for Gorilla Trekking and Cultural Ex
    After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the home of mountain Gorillas, the Volcano National Park headquarters – Kinigi to meet your guides for the day. After completing our park formalities, we are embarking on a once in a life time experience of tracking mountain gorillas. Once you spot them you are allowed to spend an hour watching them do their daily activities. Return to your hotel for lunch or visit any other restaurant of your choice in Musanze town for lunch. Head out for an afternoon Cultural Experiences at the Gorilla Guardians former ibyiwacu Cultural Village, with a transfer back to Kigali for your night life experience. Return to the hotel for relaxation. Later order your dinner and rest. Overnight stay at La Locanda (BB). Meal Plan: Bed and Breakfast

  • Day 6 - Volcanoes National Park + Golden Monkey Trekking – Back to K
    On this special day, you will have the rare opportunity to observe the famous golden monkeys. You will depart for golden monkeys trekking to observe the famous Rwandan monkeys in the Volcanoes National Park. Spend an hour with them, and be back at the base in time for lunch. Enjoy your early lunch at the hotel or in a local restaurant in Musanze town with an afternoon check out and later have a transfer back to Kigali, en route do your last-minute shopping drop off

Kigali International Airport (KGL), on the outskirts of Kigali, would most likely be your point of entry point into the country. There are currently no direct flights from any North American city to Kigali. All require at least one stop, with most major cities, including New York, Toronto, Sao Paolo and Montreal only requiring one stop. Direct flights are available from Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also direct flights on Turkish Airlines, from Istanbul, and from Dubai on Rwanda Air. There are no direct flights from Doha and Qatar. Flights from major cities in Asia, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, also require one stop. Flights from Sydney, Australia presently require two stops.

Rwanda is quite tiny, and most people travel inside the country by car. Rwanda's speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour on all roads. Akagera Aviation, on the other hand, provides charter helicopter transfers to and from any place in the country.

  • For people visiting Rwanda in conjunction with Kenya and/or Uganda, it is possible to buy a joint visa for all three countries with advance application. See www.migration.gov.rw for details.
