After breakfast, we depart for Tarangire National Park. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which flows through its heart and serves as a vital lifeline, especially during the dry season when it becomes an important refuge for wildlife, most notably elephants.
Characterized by massive baobab trees, sweeping plains, and lush riverine corridors, Tarangire is famous for its impressive elephant herds, offering a wild and authentic safari experience. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 500 recorded species. Other wildlife often seen on game drives includes lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, wildebeest, and more.
Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Following a day of adventure, you’ll head straight to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

- Day 3 - Depart to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, we depart for Serengeti National Park.
Arriving around midday, your safari begins right away in the area the Maasai call the "serengit," meaning the land of endless plains. The Serengeti boasts one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, and crocodiles. Every year, vast herds of herbivores migrate for about 800 kilometers in search of water and food.
The park is one of Africa’s most important protected areas and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site for over forty years. Its ecosystem supports more than 1.5 million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, gazelles, and impalas, along with over 2,700 lions, 1,000 leopards, 500 cheetahs, and large groups of elephants, giraffes, and ostriches.
After Lunch and an extensive game drive, we head for our luxury partner lodges for dinner and overnight.
Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Lala Salama Serengeti Luxury Camp
Meals & Drinks: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included with Drinks
- Day 4 - North Serengeti Following the Migration
After breakfast, we head towards the far northern reaches of the Serengeti National Park, with en-route game drives in Lobo as we continue towards Wagakuria.
At the end of July to September, the Migration can be found in the Northern Serengeti, where they cross the Mara River, following the greener pastures of the Maasai Mara, providing the Mara River resident Nile crocodiles with an annual feast.
Arriving in the northern part of the Serengeti, you will enjoy an introductory game drive before continuing to your accommodation for checking and relaxation, and later dinner and overnight stay.
Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Taasa Migration Camp
Meals & Drinks: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included with Drinks
- Day 5 - Northern Serengeti Following the Migration
After breakfast you will head out following the Migration. Mara river crossing is one of the must see in Serengeti and totally one of the most spectacular events in Serengeti. Harassed behind by lions, cheetahs, leopards and hyenas and ahead by giant Nile crocodiles, many hundreds perish as some hazard the river crossing while others detour it. Many wildebeests perish trying to reach the mineral rich grass of Maasai Mara where they will spend at list 2 months before they start to migrate again to their ancestral birthing Ground Southern Ndutu where it will all start again.
But the beauty of the landscape, stretching without end beneath the infinite sky of the northern Serengeti, changes something in the watcher, who becomes more aware of humankind's place within the drama of the animal world. After a full-day game drive, hopefully with a sighting of the crossing, we will return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.
Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Taasa Migration Camp
Meals & Drinks: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included with Drinks
- Day 6 - North to Central Serengeti
After breakfast, we check out of our accommodation in the north and continue with an en route game drive to Central Serengeti.
The Seronera Valley is famous for its wildlife year-round. You can often see carnivores like hyenas, lions, leopards, and cheetahs on the park’s rocky outcrops, where they watch for prey on the plains. The area is also home to many animals, including buffalo, giraffes, hippopotamuses, impalas, topis, warthogs, and zebras. In the evening, we will have dinner and spend the night at our chosen tented camp.
Main Destination: Serengeti National Park
Accommodation: Lala Salama Serengeti Luxury Camp
Meals & Drinks: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included with Drinks
- Day 7 - Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands (Crater Rim Hike)
After an early breakfast, enjoy a final game drive through the iconic plains of the Serengeti as you make your way towards the Ngorongoro Highlands. Upon arrival, embark on a guided hike along the scenic Ngorongoro Crater rim, one of the region’s most rewarding and lesser-visited experiences.
The trail winds through lush montane forest, colorful wildflowers, and unique highland vegetation, offering opportunities to spot beautiful birdlife, including olive sunbirds, cinnamon-chested bee-eaters, and European rollers. Along the way, you may encounter wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and elephants, accompanied by an experienced guide and armed ranger.
The highlight is the breathtaking panoramic views overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater, offering unforgettable scenery and incredible photo opportunities.
After the hike, continue to your accommodation on the Crater rim. Arrive in the late afternoon to relax, enjoy dinner, and overnight at one of our carefully selected lodges or camps.
Main Destination: Ngorongoro Crater
Accommodation: Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw Camp
Meals & Drinks: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included with Drinks
- Day 8 - Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, we descend the Ngorongoro Crater.
Starting at about 2,286 meters above sea level, you’ll descend roughly 610 meters to reach the crater floor, which sits at around 1,600 meters. This huge caldera, once an active volcano, now covers about 304 square kilometers and spans nearly 19 kilometers.
Ngorongoro Crater is often called one of the world’s wonders. As Professor Bernard Grzimek wrote, "There is nothing to compare it with; it is one of the most extraordinary wonders of the world."
More than 30,000 animals live here year-round. This is one of the few places in Africa where you might see all of the "Big Five" together, as well as ostriches, hippos, hyenas, warthogs, flamingos, and zebras. Ngorongoro Crater is also one of the best places in the world to spot the endangered black rhino in the wild. The only animal you won’t find here is the giraffe.
After a full day of spotting wildlife, we head for our carefully selected lodge for a relaxing dinner and a restful night.
Accommodation: Nyota Rift Valley Lodge or Similar
Meals & Drinks: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Included with Drinks
- Day 9 - Lake Manyara National Park - Departure
After breakfast in the morning, we depart for Lake Manyara National Park. This remarkable park is nestled between the dramatic escarpment of the Great Rift Valley and the sparkling soda lake that gives the park its name.
Though relatively small, Lake Manyara National Park boasts an impressive diversity of landscapes, from lush groundwater forests to open acacia woodlands. Lake Manyara National Park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, a rare and captivating sight, as well as large troops of baboons, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and an astonishing variety of birdlife. Flocks of flamingos periodically blanket the lakeshore in soft pink hues, adding to the park’s enchanting atmosphere.
After enjoying a picnic lunch and an extensive game drive, we depart to Arusha and straight to Kilimanjaro airport, arriving in time for your departure flight. This marks the end of our epic adventure.

I didn’t know what to expect since I was traveling with young children; we left everything to our consultant, Justice, who recommended the best route for us and the best accommodations where the kids enjoyed themselves too. Our guide Fred was exceptional; he made the trip easier. He was well informed and knew a lot about the animals, the location, and the culture as well. We couldn’t ask for a better trip than this. Would definitely recommend them; if you can ask for Fred to be your guide, you will not regret it.
