- Day 1 - Arrival Kilimanjaro International Airport, Arusha
Karibu Tanzania - Welcome to Tanzania:). Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be warmly greeted by our RushTrek Tour representative outside the terminal hall, holding a signboard with your name. You will then be transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. After check-in, you can freshen up and relax after your long-haul flight.
Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to explore Arusha town and enjoy some local activities. Our office representative will meet you either at the hotel lounge later today or the following morning to provide a safari briefing.
Nestled at the foot of Mount Meru, Arusha is renowned as the safari capital of northern Tanzania. This vibrant city serves as an ideal base for exploring the stunning surrounding regions, including the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, and the renowned Manyara, Tarangire, and Ngorongoro National Parks. Arusha is also a great place to unwind for a day or two from the safari circuit, thanks to its temperate climate and lush landscapes. While in the area, visitors can look forward to exploring the abundant wildlife of Serengeti National Park, discovering the breathtaking beauty of Arusha National Park, or challenging themselves with an ascent of Mount Meru, Africa’s fifth highest mountain.

- Day 2 - Drive to Arusha National Park for game viewing drive and Wal
After breakfast you will be picked up from the hotel reception and drive to Arusha National Park for game viewing drive with picnic lunch.
On arrival at the park, check-in and begin the game drives through the park trails. The game drive gives you an opportunity to see a large part of the park including places like the Momella lakes and Ngurdoto Crater.
Arusha National Park is situated in the northern region of Tanzania. It lies in the North-eastern region of the town of Arusha. Don’t get fooled by the fact that Arusha National Park is small. It has an extensive habitat that’s home to some wonderful Tanzania Wildlife.
The scenic landscapes are made up of the peaks of Mount Meru, the Ngurdoto Crater, and the lush grasslands of montane forests. Even though Arusha National Park doesn’t have as much wildlife compared to other National Parks in Tanzania. It more than makes up for it based on breathtaking landscapes, hiking opportunities on Mount Meru, and amazing outdoor activities.
After the game drive into the park, return to the hotel in time to freshen up before dinner.

- Day 3 - Drive to Londorossi gate for Shira plateau day hike
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge before your transfer. You will be picked up between 06:00/06:30 am and driven to Londorossi Gate, the starting point for the Mount Kilimanjaro Shira Day Hike.
Upon arrival at Londorossi Gate, you'll complete some check-in procedures before embarking on your hike. From there, it's approximately a 30 to 45-minute drive by vehicle to Murrum Barrier, where your trek begins.
The hike from Murrum Barrier to Shira Plateau covers about 4 kilometers and takes roughly 2 to 3 hours. During this ascent, you'll gain elevation from approximately 3,400 meters at Murrum Barrier to 3,700 meters at Shira Plateau.
For those seeking an additional challenge and breathtaking views, there's an optional extension to Cathedral Point. This involves a 4-kilometer hike each way from Shira Plateau, taking about 2 to 3 hours round trip. At Cathedral Point, you'll reach an elevation of around 3,800 meters.
After enjoying the spectacular scenery, you'll descend back to Murrum Barrier, which takes approximately 1 to 2 hours. From there, you'll be driven back to Londorossi Gate, a journey of about 30 minutes.
Once at Londorossi Gate, your memorable Kilimanjaro day hike concludes. You will then be transferred back to the lodge for freshen up and dinner, reflecting on the incredible adventure you've experienced on Mount Kilimanjaro.

- Day 4 - Drive from Arusha to Karatu via Mto Wa Mbu Village
After a hearty breakfast at the lodge, check out and depart for the town of Mto Wa Mbu, approximately three hours away. Here, enjoys a delicious local lunch followed by a Tuk Tuk excursion. Embark on a memorable scenic and cultural journey through the nearby community of Mto Wa Mbu, organized by an expert guide. Begin your adventure by exploring this vibrant town and engaging with its friendly residents. After strolling through the village, continue along a picturesque route that offers exceptional photographic opportunities.
Afterwards proceed to your accommodation in Karatu, where you can check in, freshen up, and relax for the night.

- Day 5 - Ngorongoro Crater Tour
After early breakfast and drive to Ngorongoro crater with picnic lunch to maximize your game viewing time into the crater floor. Today you head off to Ngorongoro Crater, famed as an ancient caldera and unique ecosystem, and home to a teeming gathering of game that has echoes of the animated classic. Alongside your professional driver guide, explore the largest intact volcanic caldera in the world. Magnificent geography and fertile soils lure huge herds of plains game and predators in what makes for a multi-colored and thrilling amphitheater of wildlife.
Today you will do a game drive in one of the Wonders of the Natural World.
Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world teams with an abundance of wildlife permanently resident on the crater floor. Prides of lions, herds of Cape buffalo, impala, Thompson gazelles, Elephants, golden and black backed jackal, zebra and the spotted hyena freely roam on the crater floor plains. Unmatched for its natural variety and breath-taking beauty, there are few places on earth where such a tremendous diversity of landscapes exists inside a region this size. Apart from its wildlife riches, the crater is also home to hundreds of bird species, refreshing in the small lakes in the crater floor. In the evening we drive back to our game lodge for overnight stay.
In the late afternoon after enjoy game drive into the crater floor, ascend the crater rim and drive to your camp in Karatu for freshen up, dinner and overnight.

- Day 6 - Drive from Karatu to Kilimanjaro (JRO) via Arusha
After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and drive to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your onward international flight home via Arusha town. You will have a short stopover in Arusha, where you can leave your luggage in the jeep and enjoy a leisurely stroll around the town. Later in the day, continue your journey to the airport for your flight.
