  • Day Day 1 - You arrive in Lusaka, capital city of Zambia
    You arrive in Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia at the Kenneth Kaunda International Airport. After emerging from the arrival lounge, you will be welcomed with true and friendly Zambian hospitality spirit of warmness. Please be on the look out for our Greeter displaying your name on a small hand-held board. You will then be transferred to and stay at StayEasy Lusaka Hotel (GPS LOCATION INFORMATION S 15 24' 10'' E 28 17' 7'') in Lusaka Zambia. It is situated on the corner of Church and Kabelenga Roads in Lusaka city within Levy Shopping Mall yard. Activities There are no planned activities on the day of your arrival. Activities start on the following second day early in the morning. So on this first day, your tour leader will collect your insurance and next of kin details at this meeting, so please make sure you arrange a flight that will deliver you in Zambia in good time.   • Day Day 2 - Depart from Lusaka to Forest Inn Lodge in Mkushi district
    Every long journey starts with one step. Your journey will all start off from Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia. 05:30 am – 06:10 am: Wake up and take a bath. 06:20 am: We will pick you from the reception area of your lodge in Lusaka. We will leave Lusaka travelling in an overland vehicle by taking the T-2 Great North Road from Lusaka. Narration: At Kapiri Mposhi, we will turn right into the T-2 highway heading towards Mkushi covering a 88 km distance. We will check in Forest Inn Lodge for a night sleep over. Narration (information tip): Forest Inn Lodge is situated at Great North Road Farm 2917, Mkushi (not very far off the main road). It's a simple wooded camping area with very nice clean rooms which are tastefully equipped and has mosquito nets fitted.

  • Day Day 3 - Travel from Forest Inn Lodge in Mkushi to Kasanka National
    05:30 am – 06:10 am: Wake up and take a bath. You will then leave Forest Inn Lodge in Mkushi and head towards Kasanka National Park covering a distance of 119.1 kilometers. Upon arrival, you will enter the Kasanka Park through the Malaushi barrier gate. Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA): 11:30 am – Arrive at Kasanka National Park. General information on Kasanka National Park The Kasanka National Park is relatively small park in size measuring only 390 km². It is located on the fringes of Bangweulu wetlands and is renowned for being home to the largest population of bats on earth. Afternoon: You will then go for an afternoon game drive. 16:30 pm: Time permitting, you will go for bird and game watching in the near by bushes. 19:00 pm – 21:30 pm: Enjoy delicious dinner. 21: 40 pm: Retire to sleep by camping style of accommodation.

  • Day Day 4 - Wildlife and Bird viewing in the Kasanka National Park
    06:00 am: Wake up call, take a bath 06: 30 am: Take your delicious breakfast 07:00 am: Full day wildlife viewing and birding around Luwombwa camp or any good birding area in the park; Narration: We shall do a full day game and bird viewing excursion. The Kasanka is home to the very elusive Sitatunga antelope species. It is a valuable conservation area with diverse flora and fauna including many endangered species. The Luwombwa River and Bufumu Forest with its treetop canopy tower offer some superb birding opportunities. 16:30 pm: Return to the same residential camp. 18:00 pm: Sumptuous dinner. 19:30 pm: Evening relaxation. 21:00 pm: Retire to bed to sleep. Notes: There might be a slight variation of the sequence in which activities are done and time slots of the above cited activities.

  • Day Day 5 - Travel to Chitambo enroute to Samfya
    05:30 am – 06:10 am: Wake up, bath and thereafter eat breakfast. 10:00 am: Visit Chitambo mission to get a complete story of Dr. David Livingstone’s mission in the then Northern Rhodesia (now Zambia). Historic site to visit. (i) David Livingstone Memorial Monument (ii) Replica hut located where the one in which Dr Livingstone died. 11:00 am: Leave Chitambo Mission 15:30 pm: Arrive in Samfya Narration: Samfya town is located on the south-western shore of Lake Bangweulu and has one of the most beautiful white sand beaches in Africa!

  • Day Day 6 - Activities in Samfya
    Activity: Enjoy a variety of beach and water-related activities including boat cruise on Lake Bangweulu before retiring to bed. Bangweulu, which means "where the water meets the sky", is recognized by the Ramsar Convention as one of the world's most important wetlands. The Bengweulu swamp is an absolute waterbird mecca with over 400 species on record, and covers over a million hectares. Bangweulu Wetlands is located 700km/343mi north of Lusaka, the capital city of Zambia.

  • Day Day 7 - Depart from Samfya to Mansa
    Narration: Mansa is the capital town of the Luapula Province of Zambia. 05:30 am – 06:10 am: Wake up, bath and thereafter eat breakfast. Travel to about 40 ms outside Mansa to Mumbuluma Falls which are a series of two wide waterfalls falling some 5-10m each. Where to stay: Will do an overnight camping at Mumbuluma Falls campsite or at any good level accommodation facility.

  • Day Day 8 - Depart from Mansa to Kawambwa
    Depart from Mansa to Kawambwa. Driving distance of 217 Km. 05:30 am – 06:10 am: Wake up, bath and thereafter eat breakfast. Travel on Nchelenge road, before Kawambwa town turn towards Ntumbachusi Falls. They are a series of water pools and rapids culminating in the main falls about 30m high on the Ng'ona River. Where to stay: Will do over camping at Ntumbachusi Falls campsite or at good level accommodation facility in Kawambwa.

  • Day Day 9 - Kawambwa, Ntumbachusi waterfalls
    You will see spend the whole day watching series of water pools and rapids culminating in the main Ntumbachusi falls about 30m high on the Ng'ona River. Team will spend two nights at any camp or at any good lodge or hotel in Kawambwa (On this day, please expect some slight variations on the order of activities.

  • Day Day 10 - Travel from Kawambwa to Mansa
    Return Trip: Travel from Kawambwa to Mansa to spend a night, covering a distance of 217 km. Day well spent around Ntumbachusi Falls. In the afternoon, we will travel back to Mansa to spend a night. It will be an exciting journey back teading through the same route to check out on some spots missed during the intial journey.

  • Day Day 11 - Travel from Mansa to Serenje
    Travel from Mansa to Serenje, covering a distance of 238 Km. Team will spend a night at Forest Inn Lodge or at good level hotel. Please expect some slight variations on the program of the day. Food Menu: Forest Inn boasts a fairly diverse menu - chicken wraps, steak, fish, and even Masala! The setting is beautiful, with huge trees full of birds - very exciting place to stay near Mother Nature. Late Afternoon Activity: After taking your meals, you will do some relaxed bird walks around Forest Inn. 19:00 pm: You will take your delicious dinner at this lodge. 20:30 pm: You will relax with friends whilst updating your bird log book with new bird species seen on this tour. 21:00 pm: Retire to bed to sleep.

  • Day Day 12 - Return trip to Lusaka: Spend a night at Fringilla Farm Lodge
    Return journey back: after breakfast, we’ll board our vehicles and head back to Lusaka. However, we will not reach Lusaka on the same day and spend a night at Fringilla Farm in Chisamba. Activity: After taking your meals, you will do some relaxed bird walks around the farm in the most environmentally friendly way possible in order to reduce your footprint. Farewell Dinner Fringilla Farm Lodge is well known for its generous farm-style hearty home-style cooking and traditional Zambian food. They are famous for their trademark Fringilla boerewors and pies along with their 3-course buffet dinner spread. A mothers of all dinners will be arranged for you and team at Fringilla beside the fish pond waterfall in garden seating. This will be to celebrate the successful ending of the 13 Days - Zambia's Northern "Unexplored" Tourist Circuit Waterfalls Adventure Tour. Getting There

Zambia's main airport is Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN), found 14km from the capital, Lusaka. From Lusaka, you can fly or drive between reserves. When your safari is joined with a visit to Victoria Falls, you will undoubtedly fly in or out of Livingstone Airport (LVI), right outside of Livingstone and near the falls. In most cases, your local tour administrator will orchestrate pick-up from the airport and arrange further transportation as a feature of your safari package.
