    06:00 AM: Meeting Point at your hotel/lodge in Livingstone 06:30 AM: Livingstone - Meet you at the Lobby of your Lodge/Hotel Program of the day. You will be picked from the reception of your Lodge/Hotel in Livingstone. You will be driven in a comfortable and air-conditioned transfer vehicle by our driver and tour guide. Travel Route Plan: Start: Livingstone (tourist capital city) travel TO Lusaka, capital city of Zambia – passing through Zimba - Kalomo- Choma - Monze – Mazabuka – End in Lusaka (Final destination). You will board a comfortable overland vehicle ranging from Sedan, SUV 4x4D to an overland mini bus. The type of vehicle to be used depends on the number of participants at any given departure date. Narration (information tip): Thereafter, you will leave for Kalomo town travelling up north on T-1 the main Livingstone - Lusaka tourist road of Zambia. It is a good tarmac road and you will cover a distance of about 128 kms to reach Kalomo. You will pass a small roadside town of Zimba on your way up north before reaching Kalomo. 08: 20 am: Arrive in Kalomo town, the first colonial capital city of the then Northern Rhodesia, current Zambia. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Overview of Kalomo. In 1907 Kalomo became the capital of what was known as Northern-Western Rhodesia. In 1911 it became the capital of Northern Rhodesia, what is today called Zambia. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There will be no stop-over in Kalomo but you will transit through to the next town of Choma. Kalundu Mound. Along the way about 3km north of Kalomo, on the main T-1 road, you will stop-over and tour the Kalundu Mound. It is a slightly raised mound (a matter of just a few metres) of earth through which the road passes. This marks the site of an Iron-Age village, and the mound is the accumulated debris of many centuries of occupation. 09:10 pm – Arrive in Choma town. Overview: Choma is a market town and is the provincial headquarters of Southern Province of Zambia. It lies on Zambia’s main T-1 tourist road and railway line about 285km from Lusaka and 188km from Livingstone. It is home to Choma museum and craft centre which is exclusively dedicated to the preservation and display of cultural heritage of the Tonga people of southern province of Zambia. Touring Choma Museum. You will enter and tour the Choma Museum and the nearby Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula statue. You will see the Iron Balls as well in the yard that were used for Bush clearing during the construction of the Kariba Dam, Gweembe valley. Choma town tour. You will take a walk from Choma Museum into Choma town for an hours walk-about. You will enter Spar supermarket just in case you wish to buy any personal goodies of your choice at your own cost. You will take a cup of tea and some muffins in any of the good restaurants in Choma. Thereafter, you will depart for Monze; You will pass through small village siding along the way, namely Mazoka, Batoka, Pemba, Chisekesi, Rusangu in that order before reaching Monze (Distance is 97.4 km from Choma). 12:10 PM: Arrive in Monze for a lunch stop-over. Overview - Monze is an agriculture town, with an estimated population of 163,578 people. You will eat a sumptuous lunch at the Indian Restaurant or at any other upmarket restaurant in Monze town. Thereafter you will depart for Mazabuka. 01:40 PM: Depart for Mazabuka. Depart for Mazabuka, the next town after Monze. You will see large sugar plantations on the way near Mazabuka town. You will pass a number of small village siding settlements along the way to Mazabuka, approximately 72 kms from Monze. Arrive in Mazabuka, dubbed “The Sweetest Town” in Zambia. This is because sugar canes that are processed into edible household sugar are grown on a large scale in Mazabuka. 02:30 AM: Proceed to Lusaka from Mazabuka. You will be driven on the newly constructed Mazabuka - Turn Pike tarmac road passing through Chikakata turn-off and nearby Mubuya Coffee Farm. Upon ascending in the Munali Hills, you will stop-over at the Munali Pass heritage site. This site is located along the route that Dr. David Livingstone used when travelling from Angola and Mozambique. It was at this summit of Munali Hills that Dr. Livingstone first sighted the Kafue River from a distance. You will then depart for Kafue town, descending the Munali hills into Mwanachingwala chiefdom before finally exiting the T-1 road into the T-2 at Turnpike junction. You will be driven by the Road Development Agency (RDA) weighbridge for heavy duty commercial vehicles. You then stop at the busy Police Roadblock Check point for general police checks. Then you will be driven over the Kafue River, on one of Zambia’s oldest bridge. About thirty minutes’ drive, you will reach Kafue town, proceeding to Chilanga (where cement is manufactured) and finally enter Lusaka’s outskirts areas 05:00 AM: Arrive in Lusaka, capital city of Zambia. You will be transferred to and stay at the Lodge you have already booked and paid for. 05:30 AM: At your hotel/lodge in Lusaka. This will mark the end of the exciting full day travel from Livingstone to Lusaka. We will part company with happy memories of a journey well done. Ending Point: At your hotel/lodge in Lusaka

Zambia's main airport is Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN), found 14km from the capital, Lusaka. From Lusaka, you can fly or drive between reserves. When your safari is joined with a visit to Victoria Falls, you will undoubtedly fly in or out of Livingstone Airport (LVI), right outside of Livingstone and near the falls. In most cases, your local tour administrator will orchestrate pick-up from the airport and arrange further transportation as a feature of your safari package.
