This 10 days’ tour will take you to two countries, Rwanda and Uganda, and to four national game parks all famous for their teeming wildlife. In addition to the Kigali City Tour, you will be taken for a game drive in Rwanda’s Akagera National Park; then afterwards you will cross into Uganda where you will visit Lake Mburo National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, as well as Mgahinga National Park for tracking mountain gorillas.

- Day 1 - Arrival at Kigali International AirportOur Tour Guide will meet you on arrival at Kigali International Airport. Later in the day, the Tour Guide will take you to Kigali Genocide Memorial a permanent memorial to those who fell victim to the genocide and serves as a place in which the bereaved could bury their family and friends. You will spend the night at Five to Five Hotel.

- Day 2 - Travel from Kigali to Akagera National ParkTravel from Kigali to the Akagera National Park and do an afternoon game drive in Akagera National Park lies in eastern Rwanda, hugging the border with Tanzania. It's characterized by woodland, swamps, low mountains and savannah. The varied terrain shelters wildlife including zebras, giraffes, elephants, lions and hundreds of bird species, such as the rare shoebill stork. In the southern part of the park, vast Lake Ihema is home to hippos and crocodiles. In the evening you will proceed to the Lodge where you will have dinner and spend the night at Rhino Lodge.

- Day 3 - Travel from Akagera National Park in Rwanda to Uganda Via MYou will travel from Akagera National Park in Rwanda to Lake Mburo National Park in Uganda. Cross into Uganda via Mirama Hills. If time allows you might do an evening game drive and then spend the night at Lake Mburo Lodge, which is situated within scenic Lake Mburo National Park. You will have dinner and spend the night at Leopard Rest Camp camp. If time does not allow for an evening game drive, you will do an early game drive the next day before proceeding to Queen Elizabeth National Park.

- Day 4 - Travel from Lake Mburo National Park to Queen Elizabeth NatiThe 2nd Largest National Park in Uganda aften the morning of Day 4, you will travel from Lake Mburo National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After arriving in the Park, you will do an afternoon/evening game drive. You will spend the night at Tembo Safari Lodge in Queen Elizabeth National Park which is the secondr Murchison Falls National Park.

- Day 5 - Do Am game drive and Pm boat cruiseIn the morning you will do a morning game drive, followed by an afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. The Kazinga Channel is a wide, 32-kilometre (19 mile) long natural channel connecting the two Lakes, Lake George and Lake Edward. This channel is among the most important features in Queen Elizabeth National Park giving a wonderful view of the most important wildlife within the park. Along the natural Kazinga Channel, be ready to watch the largest population of hippos in the whole world as well as plentiful Nile crocodiles, over 380 bird species whistling and winging along all making up the beauty of the Pearl of Africa. The shores of Kazinga Channel draw a large number of wild animals, a myriad of bird species, in addition to reptiles throughout the year, with a large concentration of hippos. You will have dinner and spend the night at Kazinga Channel View Resort

- Day 6 - From Queen Elizabeth travel to Mt Mgahinga Volcanoes NationaAfter breakfast you will travel to Mt Mgahinga National Park via the Kitagata Hot springs where you will spend one hour swimming depend on interest. You will spend the night at Travelers Rest hotel ready to do a morning gorilla tracking expedition, which might take up to six hours depending on the location of the mountain gorillas.

- Day 7 - Gorilla Tracking in Mgahinga National ParkThis day will be special for tracking mountain gorillas in Mgahinga National Park. In the morning, you will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing from the park rangers about the do's and don’ts when you encounter mountain gorillas. You will then proceed for the memorable adventure hiking through the mountainous thick forest, an activity that may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. You will meet and stay with the gorillas for a maximum of one hour, then descend to the park headquarters thereafter to Travalers Rest have lunch the Coffe port and relaxation. In the evening you may tour the neighboring Coffee community tour crosser to Cong DRC Border. Again spend the night at Travelers Rest Hotel.

- Day 8 - Travel from Mgahinga to lake Bunyonyi in Kabale DistrictYou will travel from Mgahinga in the morning to Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale District. You will spend the afternoon exploring Kabale Town, which is a beautiful colonial town situated in the Kigezi Highlands, then you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi. Your night will be spent at Kyahugye Island on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi.

- Day 9 - Visit the islands of Lake BunyonyiYou will visit the Islands of Lake Bunyonyi and, if time allows, the Batwa (Pygmies) communities. Lake Bunyonyi is locally known as "a place of little birds"; offering refreshing experiences ranging from canoeing, swimming, and bird watching. The lake lies in the valleys of the Kigezi highlands with a number of terraced hills adding to the scenic beauty of Lake Bunyonyi. There are several bird species that Lake Bunyonyi attracts including herons, weaver birds, and the grey crowned cranes. The temperatures are quite moderate, and it gets really cool in the morning as mist covers the Kigezi highlands. The quietness, serenity and cool atmosphere plus breathtaking sights of the highly terraced hills and the beauty of the lake are quite magical to experience. You will spend the night at Kyahugye Island

Getting There
Kigali International Airport (KGL), on the outskirts of Kigali, would most likely be your point of entry point into the country. There are currently no direct flights from any North American city to Kigali. All require at least one stop, with most major cities, including New York, Toronto, Sao Paolo and Montreal only requiring one stop. Direct flights are available from Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also direct flights on Turkish Airlines, from Istanbul, and from Dubai on Rwanda Air. There are no direct flights from Doha and Qatar. Flights from major cities in Asia, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, also require one stop. Flights from Sydney, Australia presently require two stops.
Rwanda is quite tiny, and most people travel inside the country by car. Rwanda's speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour on all roads. Akagera Aviation, on the other hand, provides charter helicopter transfers to and from any place in the country.

- For people visiting Rwanda in conjunction with Kenya and/or Uganda, it is possible to buy a joint visa for all three countries with advance application. See www.migration.gov.rw for details.
