This unique and wonderful climbing takes you to Marangu route is also known as ‘coca cola route’ because is the simple route compared to Machame route known as ‘whiskey route ‘. Marangu route is the oldest and simple route in summiting Kilimanjaro due to direct path but the shortest time frame makes the acclimatization to be fairly difficult. Marangu route is less scenic route because it has the same route for ascending and descending and mostly crowded route, also Marangu route is well established route in Kilimanjaro because it has sleeping hut in dormitory style accommodation with simple dining, rooms and washrooms. The 5 Days Marangu route is one of the easiest and most popular trails in Kilimanjaro. The moderate slope makes it less difficult to climb.

- Day 1 - Arrival in Tanzania and transfer to the hotelArrive in Tanzania through Kilimanjaro international airport (JRO) where by you will be warmly welcome by our KLM Safaris representative. Our expert will provide the welcoming note to you and transfer you to Moshi town distance: 43 km. time: 57 minutes where you will spend the first night at the hotel Parkview Inn Hotel. After long breathtaking in the hotel later in the evening you will get a briefing information about Kilimanjaro and the whole plan by our professional guide. Also, making checkup of tools and everything required for trekking including medical coverage and travel insurance. The information will give you a chance to understand the whole plan and everything required before climbing in order to avoid unnecessary risks and difficulties during the trekking. After that you will have a time to make your own preparation and getting your body ready for trekking.

- Day 2 - Hiking from Marangu gate (1860m) to Mandara Hut (2700m)After having your breakfast, we will take a short journey from your hotel to Marangu Park gate for the necessary formalities at the gate. After accomplishment of all registration at the gate, you will start the climbs through fascinating tropical rainforest that give a panoramic view of Northern Tanzania and Kenya. You will pass through the Maundi Crater that provide scenic view while see towering of Eucalyptus trees, birds’ life in their natural habitat as well as colobus monkey who make the day to be more awesome until you will reach the first hut at Mandara for dinner and overnight. An alternative is to simply rest and relax the beautiful forest around the camp. Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut (2,700 m). - Day 3 - Hiking from Mandara hut (2700m) to Horombo hut (3720m)After having hot breakfast as energy filling and getting ready for next hiking we will take the first part of the walk into a steep ascent through forest, but the path soon opens out into moorland and in clear weather, there is great views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks. You will walk in the base of Maundi crater until moving out from the rainforest to the moorland where now you start to experience the high-altitude difficulties until you arrive at Horombo Hut mid-afternoon, where you can relax and enjoy the stunning scenery around the camp. Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut (3,720m). After reaching Horombo our professional team will be already prepared tents and hot meals so that you will take breath for more acclimatization until next morning for another hiking. Distance: 12.5kl / 7.8miles Time: 9 hours Elevation: 2,700m / 8858ft to 3,720m / 12204ft Zone: Low Alpine zone

- Day 4 - Hiking from Horombo Hut (3720m) to Kibo hut (4700m)Climb very gradually towards the lunar desert of the Saddle between Mawenzi and Kibo in this beautiful day you will continue with climbing hence taking trail with beautiful view in the scenic view of the saddle. These 8 hours walking will be taken at a slow pace until we reach Kibo Hut (4,700m), where we will spend the night in a comfortable hut. While on walking to kibo hut there is a chance to fill our water reserves at one of the rivers known as ‘Maua River’ because there is no running water at Kibo Hut and the remainder of the day is spent relaxing in preparation for the final ascent before a very early night. After having enough time to rest your professional guide will provide briefly information of summiting day that includes challenges, time, routes, tools required in order to keep you attention before you start the final hiking day. - Day 5 - Hiking from Kibo Huts (4700m) to Summit (5895m) then descentWake up before midnight in the cover of darkness. We begin a steep climb over loose volcanic screed has some well-graded zigzags, a slow but a steady pace will take us to rim of the main crater, Gillman’s 5,685 meters. We will rest there for few minutes to enjoy the sunrise over Mawenzi. Those who are still feeling good can continue slowly to make the three hours round trip from here along the crater rim to Uhuru peak 5,895 m. which is the highest point in Africa. After a few minutes to appreciate your accomplishment. We descend to Kibo Huts amazingly fast and we stop at Kibo Huts for some refreshment, we continue to descend to reach Horombo Huts. Kibo Huts to Summit to Horombo Huts (3,720 m.) Walking Hours: 13-15 hours. Zone: Glacial zone and the all-preceding zones. This is a tough day which need enough physical and mental preparations hence get ready for a tough day. After reaching Horombo hut you will take rest for overnight stay that accompanied with high morale of reaching the summit hence you will take rest while getting prepared for the tomorrow descent day. Distance kibo to summit: 4km /2.5 mi up. Time: 5-7hrs Distance from summit to Horombo huts: 15.75km /9.8mi down. After reaching Marangu gate our car will be there to wait you for transfer hence you will receive a certificate of appreciation first to congratulate you for the great commitment in climbing Kilimanjaro the first highest mountain in Africa continent and first free-standing mountain in the world.
