This 12-day Safari of Eastern and Northern Uganda takes you on an enriching journey of adventure and discovery. Immerse yourself in an array of activities that will stimulate your senses, from white-water rafting in the Nile to exploring the majestic waterfalls of Sipi. You will go to Jinja, Sipi, Pian Upe, Kidepo as well as Murchison Falls. Beyond the breathtaking scenery and magnificent wildlife, you will have a unique opportunity to experience the rich culture of the local people and gain insight into their way of life. This safari is perfect for both small and large groups, with an array of activities to cater to different preferences. - Day 2 - White water rafting in Jinja.Early in the morning, after your breakfast, you will be driven to Jinja for a white-water rafting experience which can either take a full day or half-day depending on your choice. This is one of the most exciting rafting trips on earth – going up to 31 km and includes a fantastic barbeque lunch and complimentary drinks after the trip.

- Day 3 - Drive from Jinja to Sipi FallsAfter breakfast, you will depart for Sipi Falls, which is located in the Eastern part of Uganda. The journey takes about 4-5 hours and you will have the opportunity to enjoy the scenic views of the countryside.

- Day 4 - Hiking in Sipi Falls AreaToday, you will hike to the three different waterfalls that make up Sipi Falls. The hike is moderate and takes about 3-4 hours. Along the way, you will pass through villages and farmland, giving you a chance to interact with the locals.

- Day 5 - Drive to Moroto via Pian Upe Game reserveAfter breakfast, you will depart for Pian Upe Game Reserve with packed lunch. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the scenic views of the countryside and game drives in the reserve. Pian Upe is one of the largest and most remote game reserves in Uganda and is home to a wide variety of wildlife including giraffes, buffalos, leopards, and cheetahs. In the evening, you will be driven to Moroto where you will have dinner and an overnight stay.

- Day 6 - Drive to Kidepo via Matheniko Game ReserveAfter breakfast, you will depart for Matheniko Game Reserve, which is located in the Karamoja region of Uganda. The journey takes about 5-6 hours and you will have the opportunity to enjoy the scenic views of the countryside. The reserve is home to a wide variety of wildlife including giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

- Day 7 - Wildlife game drives in KidepoToday, you will go on a game drive in Kidepo Valley National Park. The park is home to a wide variety of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, and giraffes.

- Day 8 - Hike in Narus Valley, Karamojong culture experienceAfter breakfast, you will go on a guided nature walk/hike in the Narus Valley, which is known for its scenic views and bird species. In the afternoon, you will visit a local Karamojong community and learn about their culture and way of life.

- Day 9 - Drive from Kidepo to MurchisonAfter breakfast, you will depart for Murchison Falls National Park. The journey takes about 7-8 hours and you will have the opportunity to enjoy the scenic views of the countryside. Murchison Falls National Park is the largest park in Uganda and is known for its stunning waterfalls and diverse wildlife.

- Day 10 - Game drive & boat cruise in MurchisonEarly morning, your guide will take you for a wildlife safari game drive on the northern bank of the river Nile. Here, you will spot Elephants, Lions, Cape buffalo, Rothschild’s giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena, and if you are lucky, the leopard. You will return to your lodge for breakfast, rest, and lunch before heading out for the afternoon boat cruise. The boat cruise takes you upstream on the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls stopping just a few meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron”. While on the boat cruise, you will have a chance to marvel at the hippos floating in the water, and crocodiles as well as elephants, waterbuck, Uganda kob, and many other animals over this 19 km stretch of the Nile. For bird-watching enthusiasts, there are many chances of seeing bird species like the Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, Brown pelican, Red-throated bee-eater, various kingfishers, Fish eagles, cormorant, and the rare shoebill stork. After the boat cruise, you will return to your accommodation.

- Day 11 - Visit the Top of Murchison Falls and Transfer to EntebbeAfter breakfast, you will hike to the top of Murchison Falls, which is a breathtaking sight. You will then transfer back to Entebbe with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino Tracking. You will spend the evening relaxing at your hotel.

Getting There
From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

Travel Requirements
- All foreign visitors need a passport that is valid for at least six months
- Passports must have a clean and a full visa page for endorsement.
- When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
- Citizens of most countries require a visa. A list of countries that don't need a visa is available.
- Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
- Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
- Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
