Named after the Tarangire River, which serves as the sole water source for wildlife during the dry season, the park is renowned for its large elephant herds, often seen congregating along the riverbanks. In addition to elephants, you may encounter giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests, all of which attract a variety of predators such as lions and leopards. Tarangire is also a birdwatcher's paradise, hosting the highest number of breeding bird species found anywhere in the world. The park's landscape is further distinguished by its baobab trees, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated spot within the park before continuing your game drive. Following your exploration of Tarangire, you will be driven to your accommodation in Karatu.

Enclosed by steep volcanic walls, this pristine wilderness features expansive savannahs, scattered acacia woodlands, and shimmering lakes and swamps. Formed by a colossal volcanic eruption and subsequent collapse two to three million years ago, the Crater spans 260 square kilometers. Renowned for its remarkable geology and as a haven for wildlife, it boasts some of the densest large mammal populations on the African continent. Following your exploration of this incredible landscape, you'll transit through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to enter the Serengeti National Park from its southern entrance.

- Day DAY 4 - SERENGETI NATIONAL PARKThe Serengeti is nothing short of breathtaking, renowned for its expansive grasslands that offer unparalleled wildlife viewing opportunities. This iconic landscape has remained largely unchanged for millions of years, creating a timeless habitat for a diverse array of animals. Is perhaps most famous for the great migration, a phenomenal event where massive herds of wildebeest, accompanied by zebras and antelopes, traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing. This migration is a year-round spectacle, and the best spots to witness it vary depending on the month. The Serengeti provides excellent chances to observe predators in action. Lions, cheetahs, and leopards roam these lands, adding an extra layer of excitement to your safari. The entire experience is truly transformative, offering moments of awe and wonder. In the afternoon, as you begin your journey back to Karatu, you’ll have the opportunity to relish more of the Serengeti's remarkable beauty along the way.

- Day DAY 5 - LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARKAfter breakfast, you'll set off for Lake Manyara National Park, a unique gem located 120 km west of Arusha. Despite its compact size—one of the narrowest parks in Africa—Lake Manyara is renowned for its dramatic contrasts. The park is framed by the majestic Great Rift Escarpment, which rises imposingly along its western edge. The park is named after its shallow, saltwater lake, which dominates the landscape. As you explore, you may encounter baboons and elephants within the lush evergreen forest, and keep an eye out for the park's famous tree-climbing lions, a rare and captivating sight. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the stunning scenery. After your game drive, you will bid farewell to your guide and be transferred to your chosen destination, whether it's Arusha, Kilimanjaro Airport, or Arusha Airport. We hope you've cherished every moment of your adventure with Get Together Adventures Safaris and carry home unforgettable memories of your journey.
