This 6-day Uganda tour will take you to different national parks in Uganda such as Lake Mburo National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi National Park. You will participate in a variety of activities ranging from nature walks, game drives, and a boat cruise as you enjoy the sunsets in the wild, cultural experiences with the Batwa, and gorilla trekking where you will look for the endangered gorilla species in an impenetrable forest.

  • Day 1 - Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
    You will be picked up from the airport by our guide and be briefed about your 6-day expedition in Uganda. After the briefing, you will be driven to Lake Mburo National Park with a stop at the equator for photos and also enjoy craft and souvenir shopping. After your experience at the equator, you will continue to your lodge where you will have lunch. After lunch, you will engage in a game drive and explore Lake Mburo National Park in search of different wildlife species such as zebras, buffalos, warthogs, and antelopes among others. You will return to your lodge after the game drive for dinner and an overnight stay at Leopard Rest Camp.

  • Day 2 - Nature walk and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
    You will have breakfast at your lodge before enjoying a nature-walk experience in Lake Mburo National Park. During the nature walk, you will enjoy the beautiful views around the park and will also spot some of the wildlife species around such as topi, duiker, oribi, reedbuck, klipspringer, and impala among others. After the nature walk, you will be driven to Queen Elizabeth National Park for dinner and overnight at Engiri Game Lodge.

  • Day 3 - Game drive and evening boat cruise
    On the third day of your 6-day wildlife and gorilla trip to Uganda, you will wake up for an early breakfast at your lodge as you prepare for your morning game drive around Queen Elizabeth National Park. During the morning game drive, you will spot wildlife species in the savannah plains such as antelopes, elephants, lions, leopards, warthogs, and hippos among others. After the game drive, you will have lunch. During your trip around Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will also enjoy an evening boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel where Lake Edward and Lake George meet. During the boat ride, you will spot buffalos, elephants, hippos, and Nile crocodiles along the shores of the lake. You will also see various bird species such as eagles, kingfishers, and herons among others. You will proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Engiri Game Lodge.

  • Day 4 - Transfer to Bwindi National Park and community walk
    You will have an early breakfast at your lodge and then check out of the lodge. You will then be driven to Bwindi National Park for more adventures. On arrival at Bwindi National Park, you will check in at your lodge. You will enjoy a community tour where you interact with the local community of the Batwa who are forest dwellers that depend on fruit gathering and hunting in the Bwindi Forest. You will also learn about their culture and way of life, watch traditional dance performances, and learn about their local herbs and food preparation and many other cultural aspects. After the Batwa experience, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight at the Buhoma Community Haven Lodge.

  • Day 5 - Gorilla trekking
    You will wake up for an early breakfast at your lodge and then drive to the park headquarters to start your gorilla-trekking experience. At the park headquarters, you will be briefed about the gorilla-trekking activity before continuing to the forest to look for the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. During the trekking, you will follow different trails in the forest as you search for the gorillas in their natural habitat. On locating them, you will spend 1 hour with the gorillas. Thereafter, you will trek back to the briefing point at the park headquarters where you will be met by your guide. Drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay at the Buhoma Community Haven Lodge.

  • Day 6 - Departure
    On the last of your 6-day wildlife and gorilla trip to Uganda, you will check out of your lodge after breakfast and proceed to drive back to Entebbe with a stopover for lunch in Mbarara. On arrival in Entebbe, your guide will drop you off at the airport and this will mark the end of your trip.

Getting There

From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

  • Passports must have a clean and a full visa page for endorsement.
  • When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
  • Citizens of most countries require a visa. A list of countries that don't need a visa is available.
  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
  • Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
