Kibale National Park is a very nice place to observe smaller primates like the black and white colobus, the red colobus, grey-cheeked mangabey and the rare l’Hoest monkey. Also, nocturnal primates like the Thomas’s galago can be seen. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of Bigodi Swamp during a 3-hour wetland walk. With over 200 bird species, 13 primate species, mammals like bushpig, bushbuck and the very shy and endangered sitatunga and many others.

  • Day 1 - Arrival and Transfer to Kibale forest National Park
    Upon your arrival at Entebbe airport, Verdoro Safaris staff will be waiting for you. You will be then taken to have refreshments and then we drive directly to Kibale National Park to the Western part of Uganda. Along the way, you will find many baboons on the road waiting to be given some food, pass by the tea plantations and admire the scenic beauty of it all. Continue through Fort Portal town until you reach Kibale National Park. ay.

  • Day 2 - Chimpanzee Trekking and Bigodi Swamp walk
    After your morning breakfast, your driver will take you to the park information centre where you will be briefed together with other guests about what to do and not to do while trekking chimpanzees. Thereafter you will set out to look for the chimpanzees in the forest and experience unforgettable. Trekking might take 2 to 6 hours of which it is based on the location of chimpanzees. At the end of the day, you would have received a great African experience since you will see how these people live, do their day to day activities among other things. Head back to the lodge, have dinner & overnight. Optional activity At an additional fee of only $70 US Dollar pp you do the chimpanzee habituation tracking instead of the regular chimpanzee tracking. This will take all day and you will be 100% sure to have a very close encounter with your closest relatives.

  • Day 3 - Transfer back to Kampala/Entebbe
    After breakfast, you will enjoy a leisurely drive back to Kampala arriving in the afternoon. From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
