Day 1: Entebbe – Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Meet your guide at Entebbe International Airport and begin a scenic drive west through Uganda’s countryside. Enjoy views of tea plantations and rolling hills, with lunch in Fort Portal. Optional visit to Amabere Caves or Tooro Palace (time permitting).
Arrive at your lodge near Kibale Forest and relax ahead of the next day’s primate adventure.

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Walk
After an early breakfast, head to Kibale Forest headquarters for briefing before tracking chimpanzees in the rainforest. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these intelligent primates in the wild.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided walk in Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation project rich in birds, primates, and cultural insights.

Day 3: Kibale – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Drive south to Bwindi through the stunning Kigezi Highlands, often called the Switzerland of Africa. Optional detour to Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha sector to search for tree-climbing lions.
Arrive at your Bwindi lodge and receive a briefing for the gorilla trek.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – Optional Cultural Visit
Begin the day with a ranger briefing before trekking into the rainforest to find a habituated mountain gorilla family. Once located, spend one magical hour observing them at close range—an emotional and life-changing experience.
Optional afternoon visit to the Batwa community for cultural storytelling and traditional experiences.

Day 5: Bwindi – Return to Entebbe

Getting There
From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

- Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
