The 5 Days Rwanda Tour will enable you to explore Rwanda's major primate parks for chimpanzees and mountain gorillas. You will start the tour by visiting Nyungwe National Park in the southwestern part of the country. Nyungwe is a forested National park with one of East and Central Africa's oldest forests. This forested national park is home to chimpanzees and 12 other primates and it is also Rwanda's most Important Bird Area. You will end this 5 Days Rwanda Primates and Wildlife Discovery Journeys in Volcanoes National Park. Here you will trek to the Mountain Gorillas & Golden Monkeys

- Day 1 - Transfer To Nyungwe National ParkYou will be picked up from your Kigali Hotel for a Kigali city tour visiting the genocide museum and other places of interest. You will then depart for Nyungwe National park located in southwestern Rwanda with en route stopovers at the Nyanza palace and Butare Musuem. You will also have a stop over for a lunch break and the proceed to Nyungwe arriving in the evening.

- Day 2 - Chimpanzee Trekking & Canopy WalkAfter breakfast you will go for chimpanzee tracking in Nyungwe forest where you will meet chimpanzees mans closest primates. You will also see other wildlife species including birds and other primates. In the afternoon you will go for a canopy walk along east Africa's only canopy walkway.

- Day 3 - Nature Walk & Transfer to Volcanoes National ParkYou will go for a Nature walk in the forest where you will see a number of birds and other primates in nyungwe forest. You will then return for a transfer to Volcanoes national park arriving in the evening for meals and overnight at your lodge.

- Day 4 - Gorilla Trekking & Cultural VisitOn this most anticipated day you will head to the park headquarters early morning after breakfast. You will be briefed about the gorilla trek and then head to the forest in a 2 to 6 hour trek as you see other wildlife species. Once you get to the gorillas stay in their presence for an hour and later be brought back to the park headquarters. In the evening you will take a cultural visit where you will discover more about the Rwandan local culture.

- Day 5 - Golden Monkey Trekking & DepartureAfter breakfast be taken for another briefing about golden monkey tracking after which you will proceed to the forest. You will meet the golden monkeys that are among the rare primate species only living in the Virunga massif. You will see other wildlife species in the park and later return for a transfer back to Kigali for a drop off at the hotel or airport depending on schedule. End of Tour.

Getting There
Kigali International Airport (KGL), on the outskirts of Kigali, would most likely be your point of entry point into the country. There are currently no direct flights from any North American city to Kigali. All require at least one stop, with most major cities, including New York, Toronto, Sao Paolo and Montreal only requiring one stop. Direct flights are available from Amsterdam and Brussels. There are also direct flights on Turkish Airlines, from Istanbul, and from Dubai on Rwanda Air. There are no direct flights from Doha and Qatar. Flights from major cities in Asia, such as Hong Kong and Singapore, also require one stop. Flights from Sydney, Australia presently require two stops.
Rwanda is quite tiny, and most people travel inside the country by car. Rwanda's speed limit is 60 kilometres per hour on all roads. Akagera Aviation, on the other hand, provides charter helicopter transfers to and from any place in the country.

- Passports must have a clean and a full visa page for endorsement.
- When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
- As of January 2018, citizens of all countries are now eligible for visas on arrival at US$30 for 30 days. More details at www.migration.gov.rw
- For people visiting Rwanda in conjunction with Kenya and/or Uganda, it is possible to buy a joint visa for all three countries with advance application. See www.migration.gov.rw for details.
