- Day 1 - Transfer from Maun to MakgadikgadiArrival You'll be collected from the airport. Accommodation before the tour starts can be arranged for an extra cost.Our guide will pick you in Maun and a 3 hours drive on a tarred road will lead you to Makgadikgadi. Makgadikgadi Pans National Park covers an area of 3,900square km, where we spend 2nights in the Public Campsite, across the river from the village of Khumaga but separated by the Boteti River.

- Day 2 - Exploring MakgadikgadiThe day begins with a wakeup call and then breakfast served and then head on for a game drive to experience the natural habitat, beautiful landscape as well as the wildlife. When we come back from the morning drive lunch will be served at the camping area. Later in the day we will sit at the Waterhole, the only one for miles around and very busy, if the rains haven't started. Sunsets at the Waterhole can be spectacular, with animals silhouetted against the setting sun. We return to our camp after sunset and enjoy great food and drinks around a fire.

- Day 3 - Day Trip and sleep outAfter our continental breakfast we will start with our morning drive around the Boteti River and we will have a bush lunch in a picnic site. Then our drive will lead us to Ntwetwe pan for the sleep out under the amazing African sky for one night. The Ntwetwe is one of the three large pans within the Makgadikgadi, the other two being Nxai Pan and Sua pan. Ntwetwe pan is now a seasonal lake with filling occurring in the rainy season. Ntwetwe was first described to the European world by David Livingstone, pursuit to his exploration in this region. Significant archaeological recoveries have occurred within the Ntwetwe Pan, including Stone Age tools from people who lived in this area, in an earlier time of prehistory when a large year-round lake occupied the Ntwetwe Pan area within the Makgadikgadi.

- Day 4 - Transfer from Makgadikgadi to MaunAfter breakfast we will be starting to drive back to Maun where your guide will drop you to where you will be staying or dropping you at the airport if you are flying out.

Getting There
Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, also known as Gaborone Airport, is the main airport in Botswana. It is located 15 km from Gaborone, the capital.
For travellers, it is more common to fly into Maun Airport (MUB) and Kasana Airport (BBK). When combining a safari in Botswana with a visit to Victoria Falls, it is common to fly into Maun and depart from Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) in Zimbabwe or Livingstone Airport (LVI) in Zambia.
Most visitors to Botswana will have a stopover in South Africa to pick up a direct flight from OR Tambo International Airport (JNB), Johannesburg or Cape Town International Airport (CPT).
In most cases, your tour operator will collect you from the airport and will arrange all further transportation.

- All foreign visitors will need to carry a return ticket.
- Children that are under 18 years of age must have a certified copy of their unabridged birth certificate and a valid passport.
- Children travelling with one parent or no parents must have an affidavit from the missing parent/s that gives their consent for travel.
- In case a person is travelling by road, they need to carry all the current and valid vehicle documents and essential permits.
