This tour combines scenic flights from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam with a short road transfer to the less crowded southern circuit of Tanzania, offering an authentic African wilderness experience. Unlike typical Serengeti or Ngorongoro safaris, this adventure includes walking safaris, boat safaris on the Rufiji River, and game drives in a 4×4 safari vehicle, providing a varied and immersive wildlife encounter. - Day 1 - Zanzibar → Nyerere National Park
Fly from Zanzibar to Dar es Salaam in the morning. Upon arrival, your safari guide will meet you at the airport. Drive to Nyerere National Park, arriving around noon for a short game drive.
In the late afternoon, enjoy a boat safari on the Rufiji River, spotting hippos, crocodiles, African fish eagles, kingfishers, and black-and-white colobus monkeys. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

- Day 2 - Full-Day Game Drive in Nyerere National Park
After breakfast, embark on a full-day 4×4 game drive exploring Africa’s largest protected wilderness. Encounter elephants, lions, leopards, African wild dogs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and a diverse range of birds.
Nyerere National Park, formerly Selous Game Reserve, spans over the size of Switzerland and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its landscapes include savannah forests, undulating plains, and riverine ecosystems. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Our 2-day safari from Zanzibar with Gnade Safaris was absolutely fantastic! Everything was perfectly organized — from the flight from Zanzibar to Arusha, the comfortable vehicle, and the warm welcome by our guide, Issack. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and the parks, and his passion made the trip unforgettable. We visited Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, where we saw elephants, lions, zebras, and even rhinos! The accommodation was cozy, the food was delicious, and the overall service was top-notch. Gnade Safaris made everything smooth and stress-free — I highly recommend them to anyone visiting Tanzania!
