    Day 1: Arrival and Orientation

    Arrival at Mahale National Park: Typically, you'll arrive by chartered flight from Arusha or Dar es Salaam to the park’s airstrip. From there, you'll be transferred by boat to your lodge or camp. Afternoon Activity: After settling in, take a relaxing boat ride on Lake Tanganyika to explore the surroundings. You can also enjoy a swim in the lake or relax on the beach. Evening: A briefing on the park and its conservation efforts, followed by dinner at your lodge or camp.

    Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking and Wildlife Viewing

    Morning: Chimpanzee Tracking: Start early with a guide for a trek into the forest to track the famous Mahale chimpanzee community. Mahale is one of the best places to see wild chimpanzees in their natural habitat. The trek may take a couple of hours, and the experience of observing the chimps up close is unforgettable. Lunch: After the trek, return to your camp for lunch and some relaxation time. Afternoon: Nature Walk or Boat Safari: In the afternoon, either go on a nature walk with your guide to discover the park's flora and fauna or take a boat safari on Lake Tanganyika to spot hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. Evening: Watch the sunset over Lake Tanganyika, followed by dinner at your lodge.

    Morning: Chimpanzee Tracking (optional): If you want another chance to track the chimps, you can join a morning trek. Afternoon: Departure: In the afternoon, take a boat ride back to the airstrip for your flight to your next destination.
