    Day 1: Moshi to Mkomazi National Park

    6:00 AM – Departure from Moshi Start your safari early with a pick-up from your accommodation in Moshi. Enjoy a scenic drive through Rombo and Same districts, passing small villages and rural landscapes as you make your way to Mkomazi National Park. 9:00 AM – Arrival at Mkomazi National Park Upon arrival, stop at the park's entrance to pay the park fees and meet your local guide. After a brief introduction, head to your lodge or camp for check-in and a short rest. 10:30 AM – Morning Game Drive Begin your first game drive in Mkomazi National Park. Mkomazi is known for its vast savannah grasslands, acacia woodlands, and wetlands. The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including: Giraffes Zebras Antelopes such as impala, grant gazelles, and oryx African wild dogs (Mkomazi is one of the few places where you can spot these rare animals) Elephants, baboons, and various bird species like the Secretary bird and Lilac-breasted roller 12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch in the Park Enjoy a picnic lunch in one of the park’s designated areas, often surrounded by the sounds of wildlife. Take in the beauty of the park’s remote and untouched wilderness. 1:30 PM – Afternoon Game Drive Continue your game drive, exploring more of the park’s landscapes.     6:00 AM – Breakfast at Your Lodge Start your day with an early breakfast before heading out for your morning game drive. 7:00 AM – Morning Game Drive Embark on another game drive in Mkomazi. This time, explore some of the more remote corners of the park where you can spot animals that tend to be active in the cooler morning hours. Continue to watch for wild dogs, cheetahs, giraffes, and buffaloes while enjoying the picturesque landscapes. 10:00 AM – Visit the Park's Scenic Viewpoints Take a break and visit the scenic viewpoints in the park. Mkomazi National Park is surrounded by mountainous terrain, including the Pare Mountains and Usambara Mountains, providing spectacular panoramic views. 12:30 PM – Picnic Lunch Stop for another picnic lunch in the park, allowing you to relax in the midst of nature. Enjoy the calm and serenity of the park as you eat. 1:30 PM – Final Game Drive After lunch, take one last game drive through the park to spot any wildlife you might have missed earlier, such as eland, wildebeest, and kudus.
