- Day 1 - Zanzibar - Tarangire National Park via ArushaYou will depart Arusha Airport from Zanzibar. A driver will pick you up from the airport and start a game drive in Tarangire National Park. You’ll be greeted by a landscape dominated by majestic baobabs rising out of the acacia parklands, forming a perfect backdrop for the large herds of African elephants wandering among them. Other mammals sharing this habitat are lions, leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, black-backed jackals, Kirk’s dik-dik, dwarf and banded mongoose, impalas, Beisa oryx, Steinboks, and African hares. You should also expect to see buffalos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and waterbucks. The variety of birds you may see include the Maasai ostrich, white-headed vulture, African scoop owls, and the endemic ashy starling. You will have lunch in the park and drive to Kilima Moja later in the afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay.

- Day 2 - Ngorongoro Crater - Flight to ZanzibarYou'll have breakfast at Suricata Boma Lodge. Ngorongoro Crater is one of those places that has to be seen words alone cannot do it justice. After leaving your lodge, you’ll drive down into what was once, many years ago, the fiery heart of a huge volcano. Today this natural wonder has a much more peaceful atmosphere as wildebeests, Coke’s hartebeests, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and common zebra feed contentedly as the ever-present lions and cheetah will allow. The black rhinos here are the only ones less concerned about these predators. The bird life in the crater varies according to the seasons. Still, during your visit, you should see grey-crowned cranes, lappet-faced vultures, black-bellied and kori bustards, Fischer’s lovebird, and northern anteater chat among many others. Your lunch will be served at the designated picnic site in the crater. Later, you will drive back to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar.
