2 DAYS BURIGI CHATO NATIONAL PARK SAFARI FROM MWANZA
Offered by - Tiem Tours And Safaris
Tour Features
Burigi Chato National Park, located in northwestern Tanzania, is a relatively new and less-visited park, offering a more pristine wilderness experience. It's known for its diverse habitats, including savannah, wetlands, forests, and hills, and boasts a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, various antelopes (like impalas, waterbuck and the impressive Cape Eland), and predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas. The park is also a birdwatcher's paradise with over 400 recorded species. Burigi Chato National Park is an excellent choice for travelers seeking an authentic and uncrowded safari. Its relative newness means the infrastructure is still developing, but this also contributes to its untouched feel. The drive from Mwanza is significant (around 5 – 6 hours by car), making two days a good, albeit somewhat rushed, option to experience the park. A professional safari guide is essential for maximizing your wildlife sightings and ensuring your safety, given the less-trafficked nature of some areas. They will also provide invaluable insights into the ecosystem and animal behavior.
