About this trip Experience one of the world’s most remarkable natural wonders on this unforgettable day trip to Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife conservation areas. The journey begins with an early morning departure from Arusha, driving through the breathtaking highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater floor, where you will enjoy a full-day game drive surrounded by incredible wildlife and stunning volcanic landscapes. The crater is famous for hosting a high density of animals in a relatively small area, giving visitors an excellent chance to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, and the rare black rhino. This natural sanctuary offers one of the best wildlife viewing experiences in the world. During the day, you will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater while observing animals roaming freely across the savannah, forests, and lake areas within the crater basin. Explore the Legendary Ngorongoro Crater
Early in the morning, you will depart from Arusha and drive through the scenic highlands toward Ngorongoro Crater — one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife destinations.
Upon arrival, descend into the crater for an exciting full-day game drive across its spectacular grasslands, forests, and seasonal wetlands. The crater is renowned for its rich concentration of wildlife, offering opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and a wide variety of bird species. With its dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife, every moment inside the crater offers something new to discover.
