Chobe National Park is Botswana’s first national park and has one of the largest concentrations of game in Africa. This tour will give you a chance to see the Big 4 of the African safari, that is, the elephant, Cape buffalo, leopard and the lion. There are also several other species like giraffes, zebras, kudus, hippos, crocodiles, impalas, waterbucks and hundreds of bird species. This is a must go trip if you are visiting Victoria Falls.

- Day 1 - Day 1 ActivityArrival A transfer from the airport can be arranged for an extra cost. You'll be picked up from your hotel in Victoria Falls by our driver in an open 4 x 4 at 7:00 am and driven for 45 minutes to the Botswana border. On arrival, you'll be helped through immigration. You will be welcomed on the Botswana side by our driver who will take you to your first activity of the day; the Chobe River game cruise. The Chobe River is a source of water for the park's hundreds of wildlife and bird species. They come down to the river and you will be able to view them from your boat with a qualified guide on call to explain everything. The cruise will last about 3 hours and by 12:30 pm, you will come back on land for a hearty buffet lunch at a top lodge. After lunch, you'll be taken for an afternoon game drive in open 4x4 vehicles for 3 hours. You will have a chance to see the Big Five African safari animals and hundreds other species. At 4:30 pm, you'll be taken back to the border and be transferred back to your hotel in Victoria Falls with amazing memories. End of tour A transfer back to the airport can be arranged for an extra cost.

Getting There
Sir Seretse Khama International Airport, also known as Gaborone Airport, is the main airport in Botswana. It is located 15 km from Gaborone, the capital.
For travellers, it is more common to fly into Maun Airport (MUB) and Kasana Airport (BBK). When combining a safari in Botswana with a visit to Victoria Falls, it is common to fly into Maun and depart from Victoria Falls Airport (VFA) in Zimbabwe or Livingstone Airport (LVI) in Zambia.
Most visitors to Botswana will have a stopover in South Africa to pick up a direct flight from OR Tambo International Airport (JNB), Johannesburg or Cape Town International Airport (CPT).
In most cases, your tour operator will collect you from the airport and will arrange all further transportation.
