  • Day 1 - Zanzibar – Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park

    Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Zanzibar. Depending on your preferred package, you may travel to Dar es Salaam by either a domestic flight or the fast ferry.

    Upon arrival in Dar es Salaam, continue your journey to Mikumi National Park using your selected transport option. Guests may choose the scenic Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) to Morogoro followed by a road transfer, a comfortable private road transfer directly to the park, or a coach service to Morogoro where your professional safari guide will meet you.

    Enjoy the beautiful landscapes as you travel through rural Tanzania, passing rolling hills, local villages and lush countryside before arriving at your lodge in time for lunch.

    After check-in and some time to relax, head into Mikumi National Park for your first afternoon game drive. Explore the famous Mkata Floodplain, where elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes and numerous antelope species roam freely. Keep your camera ready as your guide searches for predators including lions and the elusive leopard.

    As the African sun begins to set, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the wilderness.

  • Day 2 - Full-Day Wildlife Safari in Mikumi National Park

    Wake up to the sounds of nature before enjoying a delicious breakfast at the lodge. Today is dedicated to exploring the spectacular landscapes of Mikumi National Park.

    Spend the entire day on game drives through different habitats, increasing your chances of encountering an incredible variety of wildlife. The open plains make Mikumi one of Tanzania's best parks for photography and wildlife viewing. Watch herds of elephants moving across the savannah, graceful giraffes browsing acacia trees, zebras grazing alongside wildebeests and buffaloes, while hippos relax in nearby pools.

    Your knowledgeable guide will help you track wildlife while explaining the behaviours of the animals and the importance of protecting Tanzania's unique ecosystems.

    A picnic lunch will be served at one of the park's scenic picnic sites before continuing your afternoon safari.

    Return to the lodge in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

  • Day 3 - Another Full Day of Game Drives and Optional Sundowner

    Today offers another incredible opportunity to discover different areas of Mikumi National Park.

    Morning and afternoon game drives increase your chances of encountering wildlife that may have been hidden the previous day. Your guide will carefully track animal movements while sharing fascinating information about the park's ecosystems, flora, fauna, and conservation efforts.

    Spend time photographing wildlife against the spectacular landscapes before returning to your lodge. If available, you may choose to enjoy an optional sundowner experience (additional cost), soaking in one of Africa's unforgettable sunsets.

  • Day 4 - Morning Game Drive – Return to Zanzibar

    Enjoy an early breakfast before embarking on one final morning game drive when wildlife is at its most active. This is often the best time to witness predators on the move and experience the peaceful beauty of the African wilderness before the day's heat begins.

    After your safari, begin your journey back to Dar es Salaam using your selected transport option. Upon arrival, board your scheduled domestic flight or fast ferry back to Zanzibar, where a representative will transfer you to your hotel.

    Your unforgettable bush-to-beach safari concludes with wonderful memories of Tanzania's remarkable wildlife and landscapes.
