- Day 1 - Arrival in Awash National Park
Morning: You'll depart from Addis Ababa around 7:00 AM. The drive takes approximately 4 hours, passing through the scenic Ethiopian countryside.
Midday: You'll arrive at Awash National Park and check into your lodge. You'll enjoy a hearty lunch featuring local and international cuisine.
Afternoon: You'll embark on your first game drive through the park's diverse ecosystems, including savannah, acacia woodlands, and riverine forests. You'll spot wildlife such as Beisa oryx, gazelles, baboons, and various bird species.
Evening: You'll return to the lodge for dinner. Optional: Participate in a night safari to observe nocturnal animals and the starry African sky. Your overnight stay will be at Awash Falls Lodge.

- Day 2 - Wildlife and and Scenic Exploration
Morning: You'll start with an early morning game drive, the best time to spot predators like lions and leopards, as well as a variety of bird species.
Midday: You'll visit the spectacular Awash Falls, where the Awash River plunges into a deep gorge. Enjoy the scenic beauty and take photos.
Afternoon: You'll go on a guided hike along the trails of the park. You'll explore the park’s rich biodiversity and enjoy bird watching, with over 450 bird species recorded in the park. Overnight stay will be at Doho Lodge & Hot Springs.

- Day 3 - Final Exploration & Return to Addis Ababa
Morning: You'll enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the lodge. You'll embark on a final game drive to capture any last wildlife sightings and scenic views.
Midday: You'll visit the Filwoha Hot Springs for a relaxing soak in the natural thermal waters, surrounded by lush vegetation.
Afternoon: You'll have lunch at the lodge before departure. You'll begin your journey back to Addis Ababa in the early afternoon. You'll arrive back in Addis Ababa by early evening, with drop-off at your hotel.

Most of the visitors arrive at the Bole International Airport (ADD) in Addis Ababa. Usually, the Safari operator picks you up at the airport and takes care of any travel arrangements from there. If you are already in the region it’s possible to get in by land from Sudan, Kenya and Djibouti. It is best to stay away from the borders of South Sudan and Somalia. Drive-around tours are also available (especially in southern Ethiopia). Even when flying around, covering some distances by car can be very rewarding as you'll see some of the Ethiopian countrysides.
