The 8-Day Lemosho Route is one of the most scenic and successful routes for climbing Mount Kilimanjaro. Starting on the western side of the mountain, the route offers stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and excellent acclimatization, increasing the chances of reaching the summit. Trekkers pass through lush rainforest, heathland, alpine desert, and arctic terrain before reaching Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa.   • Day - Day Activity

    Day 1: Arrive in Arusha, meet your mountain guide, briefing, gear check, and overnight at the hotel.

    Day 2: Drive to Lemosho Gate and begin the trek through lush rainforest to Mti Mkubwa Camp.

    Day 3: Hike through heath and moorland to Shira 1 Camp, enjoying spectacular views of Kilimanjaro.

    Day 4: Trek across the Shira Plateau to Shira 2 Camp, with excellent acclimatization opportunities.

    Day 5: Hike via Lava Tower for acclimatization before descending to Barranco Camp.

    Day 6: Climb the Barranco Wall and continue through scenic valleys to Karanga Camp.

    Day 7: Trek to Barafu Camp, the base camp for your summit attempt, and rest before the midnight climb.

    Day 8: Summit day! Ascend to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa, then descend to Mweka Camp and continue to Mweka Gate for departure or transfer back to Arusha.
