This is the quickest way, and easy way to access Bwindi Impenetrable National Park or Mgahinga National Park in Uganda for mountain gorilla trekking, since they parks are located in southern Uganda, close to Rwanda, and can easily be accessed by road, instead of arriving in Entebbe that is a long drive (roughly 8hr).     Day Itinerary Upon getting done with your hotel breakfast in Kigali, you will be met by our company representative, who will introduce you to your safari driver guide, who will brief you shortly and, and later have lunch, before you hit up on the road, to find your way to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, via Cyanika border post, which is roughly a 5 hour’s drive to your booked accommodation, for dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 2 - Gorilla Trekking Experience and return to Kigali
    Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the briefing from the Uganda’s officials and thereafter drive to the trekking starting point, have a short briefing before entering into the jungle to search for the shy mountain gorilla, for your gorilla trekking experience. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour gazing into their big round eyes. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sunscreen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole day depending on the movement of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience in Uganda, you will have an informative memorable experience in life. You will later return and meet your guide, and you hit the road back to Kigali, and be dropped at your hotel in Kigali. End of service! Meal Plan: Breakfast & lunch

From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

  • Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
  • Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
