  • Day 1 - Londorossi Gate - Mti Mkubwa Camp
    The 7-day Kilimanjaro Lemosho Route climb begins. After breakfast and the briefing, we will drive to Londorossi Park Gate, which is approximately a 3-hour journey. From there, a forest track accessible only by a 4WD vehicle will lead us to Lemosho Glades. We will hike along forest trails to reach the campsite known as the “big tree.”

  • Day 2 - Hike To Shira 1 Camp
    After breakfast and checkup, we will depart from the campsite and start the climb towards the heath and moorland zone. A couple of hours after lunch, we will cross into the Shira Caldera, a high-altitude desert plateau that contrasts with the previous rainforest. Today, you will get your first close-up views of Kibo, the summit of Kilimanjaro.

  • Day 3 - Hike To Shira 2 Camp
    After breakfast, we will trek east across the Shira plateau, with a visit to Shira Cathedral Peak (3850m) for acclimatization.

  • Day 4 - Lava Tower - Barranco Camp
    Continuing from the Shira Plateau, we will head east and ascend a ridge, passing the junction that leads to the peak of Kibo. We will then descend to the Barranco Camp. Although we end the day at a similar elevation to where we began, this day is crucial for acclimatization and will help prepare our bodies for the summit day.

  • Day 5 - Hike To Barafu Camp
    Following breakfast, we will leave Barranco and ascend a steep ridge up the Barranco Wall (elevation 4250m/13,900ft), passing through the Karanga Valley (elevation 4050m/13,250ft) until we reach the junction that connects with the Mweka Trail. We will then continue to the Barafu Camp, marking the completion of the South Circuit and offering various views of the summit.

  • Day 6 - Hike To Summit - Down To Mweka Camp
    In the early morning hours (around midnight to 2 am), we will proceed towards the summit, making our way between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers, and ascending through heavy scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim,you will ascend from 4700m to 5895m, covering a distance of 5km in 5-7 hours to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. After spending a few minutes at the summit, you will begin your descent, covering 13km to an elevation of 3090m. This part of the journey will take approximately 5-6 hours and involves passing through stone scree and ice-capped regions.

  • Day 7 - Descend To Mweka Gate, Drive To Moshi
    After breakfast, we will begin our descent to the Mweka Park Gate, where you will receive your summit certificates. Our vehicle will be waiting for you at the gate to drive you back to your hotel in Moshi, marking the end of the 7-day Kilimanjaro Climb.

Later in the evening, the young warriors and women of the village come and dance and sing in the glow of the campfire while some of the elders come and offer fresh freshly grilled goat meat!
