- Day 3 - From the Safari house hotel to Tarangire National ParkIf you’ve never been to Tarangire (and even if you have) you’re in for a real treat. Tarangire is filled with giants – baobab trees all across the park, as well as elephants, lots of them. But that’s just the beginning. Of the big cats, you’ll probably see lions, and cheetahs and leopards are around, too. And it’s impossible to miss the wildebeest, giraffes, hippos, buffaloes and zebras. Your backdrop for all of this is one of the prettiest in northern Tanzania, with a memorable mix of river woodland, open plains and rolling hills. And some vantage points to take it all in.
Main Destination: Tarangire National Park
Accommodation: Baghayo Garden Suites
Meals & Drinks: All Meals Included
- Day 4 - Central Serengeti National ParkWelcome to the Serengeti's most popular wildlife area. It's here in the heart of the park, in the Central Serengeti, that you find the densest concentrations of wildlife. Big cats and elephants are frequently seen in this area, and this section of the park is rich in acacia trees and big Serengeti horizons. You're staying in the Serengeti's wildlife heartland of Seronera when you stay at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp. The camp has everything you need, from large safari tents, a public dining and lounge tent, and nightly campfires where you can meet other safari travelers. But this place also has the X-factor that comes with occupying prime safari real estate: staying here means anything could happen at any moment, from an elephant wandering through camp to a lion roaring just beyond the trees.

- Day 6 - Ngorongoro Crater morning and afternoon game driveNgorongoro is a special place and the first time that you descend onto the crater floor is like no other safari experience in Africa. This is a world unto itself, one where you’ll encounter the crater’s 600-strong population of hyenas, as well as critically endangered black rhinos. You’ll also find elephants with larger than-average tusks, and more than 50 lions living in the crater. But it’s the sheer beauty of Ngorongoro that will most likely live longest in your memory. From early morning, mist rises from the crater, revealing steep, forested walls, secret waterways where hippos wallow, and a world of abundant wildlife hidden away from the rest of the world. Around halfway between Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro, close to the busy town of Karatu but down a quiet side street, Marera Valley Lodge is an excellent place to stay. It has its own expansive grounds with big views out over the surrounding greenery. The handsome main building shelters a bar, restaurant and lounge, there's a swimming pool, and the spacious rooms are immaculate refuges you'll be happy to retreat to at the end of a long day.

In the afternoon you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Zanzibar. When you arrive on Zanzibar Island, you know straightaway that this is a place like no other. This was an island made wealthy by its role in the spice trade, and the superb architecture and spice-filled markets are reminders of that time. Fine beaches and scenery are also found across the island.
