WILDLIFE SAFARI AT MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK. 3 DAYS-2 NIGHTS ITINERARY. Murchion Falls National park lies at the Northern end of the Albertain Rift Valley where the sweeping Bunyoro escapment merges into a vast palm-dotted Savannah. The park was gazzetd as a game reserve in 1926 and eleveted to a national park status in 1952 and is one of Ugandas oldest protectd areas. It covers an approximatly 5072km2 and is a home to over 70 spices of mammals and over 451 bird spices. The park is bisected by the Victoria Nile racing westwards for about 80kms over a series of the world's strongest rapids before exploding through a narrow gap in the remnant rift valley clifs. The 3 Day Murchsion falls wild life safari tour package is one of the most sought-after tour packages by visitors to Uganda. The park has a variety of wild life including giraffes, elephants, lions,buffalos, hippos, leopards, baboons hyenas, warthogs and several antelope species. The main activities on this safari are; stopover visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, game drive and viewing, forest walks, chimpanze trekking, birding, cultural encoubters, boat cruise along the river Nile and hiking the top of the falls.

- Day Day 1 - Travel to Murchison falls-Stop over at Ziwa Rhion Sanctuary.After your breakfast, a guid/driver from Fernweh Safaris wilk pick you up from your hotel by 7:00am. The guide will brief you and share with you other vital information about your Uganda Safari. You will then begin your 6-hour journey to Murchison falls natioanl park. You will pass through Luwero District which was once a war zone ending with the current regimes' assumption of power. A stop over will be made at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. You will then head to Masindi district for lunch then to Murchison falls national park to check in at the lodge. Dinner and over night stay at Paraa Safari lodge (luxury) or Pakuba Safari lodge(Mid-Range) or Heritage lodge/Red Chilli (Budget).

- Day Day 2: - Game Drive, Boat Cruise along the R. Nile and Hiking the topThe day begins with early brakefast. At 7:00am you will be taken for your first morning game drive (usulay along the delta of L. Albert). Throughout the safari, the park ranger/guide will escort you where to find the various animals. Your will then head back to your lodge to have lunch, freshen up and prepare for the mega boat cruise. While on the cruise, be preparied to spot more than 200 bird spices (Kingfisher, The shoebilled stork etc), the Nile crocodiles, hippos, monitor lizards elephants and many other animals seen during your early morning safari drinking along the nile shores. The boat will slowly take you to the foot of the falls where you will climb to the top of the falls. After the activities, you will be taken back to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Paraa Safari lodge (luxury) or Pakuba Safari lodge (Mid range) or Heritage lodge/Red Chilli (Budget)

- Day Day 3 - Second Game drive-Return to KampalaYou will get up early to a splendid breakfast and then go to another game drive in a different sector of the park. Then game drive marks the end of the Murchison Falls Safari. The Fernweh Safaris guide will take you back to the lodge for check out. By 11:30am the guide will start the 6 hour journey back to Kampala arriving at your hotel late in the evening. End of Safari

Getting There
From outside East Africa, Uganda can be easily accessed either by road or Air and mostly by Air to Entebbe International Airport (EBB). Water transport can also be used to travel in and around our destinations especially the ferry crossing from the Southern part of Murchison Falls National Park to the Northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. Flights to Uganda are cheapest during the rainy seasons from March to May and October to November. The best wildlife viewing months are June to September and December to February, when flights are likely to be more expensive.

- When arriving from a yellow-fever-infected country in Africa or the Americas a yellow fever vaccination certificate is required.
- Citizens of most countries require a visa. A list of countries that don't need a visa is available.
- Visas are best obtained in advance through an official online visa-application portal (https://visas.immigration.go.ug/), but they can also be obtained through your local Tanzania Embassy or High Commission.
- Visas can also be obtained on arrival but this is a lengthy process that can take one to two hours.
- Tourist visas are available for Uganda only, or East Africa (which covers entry to Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda) for the same cost.
